I'm almost wondering if there's not a "Elementals gain +X/+Y" card coming down the pipeline for Shaman. Maybe that's what Therazine does?
Shaman is really big with Mass Buffing (Second to Druid), and these are some pretty weak bodies without some sort of buffing effect being planned.
This is what I feel is probably the case, and I'd be surprised if we didn't see something like that for at least their quest (play a bunch of Elementals, get something that makes your Elementals beef supreme for the rest of the game). Like the card itself seems okay in a vacuum so maybe it's just wishful thinking, but Shaman having the strongest Elementals just makes sense to me.
And I didn't realize we already had the tokens, that's good to know at least when thinking about how to use the card. Still could be an Evolve target but that's a lot less appealing now to be certain. In general I still actually think there's a lot of merit to having the 3 bodies instead of just one big one, especially with 2x Taunt.
Nah, I'm fairly certain we can safely assume that the Mage Quest is the one that wants you to play Elementals; Pyros and Flame Geyser both add Elementals to your hand allowing you to continually play them and power up the quest.
Wouldn't make sense either way for the Shaman Quest to be Elementals, since you either have to play them (and Stone Sentinel SUCKS for that) or summon them (and Stone Sentinel is TOO GOOD for that).
I imagine we'll see Overload as the Shaman mechanic, since they're losing Tunnel Trogg and Totem Golem, which are the primary cards that would make such a thing too powerful. The fact that we're losing Elemental Destruction also makes it where we won't see T4 completions of the quest, either. Just makes too much sense after Finders Keepers was printed.
Pretty much! Jade has too much speed/power in the shaman package so late game shaman synergies just won't cut it....however, with Jinyu Waterspeaker and Reno beig rotated out we could see a shaman control deck.....

Shaman quest will involve summoning elementals. It's pretty clear. "Elements Destroy you", along with all the solid elemental cards for Shaman (fire, Earth, this)
It is a dumb way to evaluate it because you can't clear an 8/10 with a 4/7, where as these trade evenly with it. There are enough AoEs for this not to be too good, but it also trades poorly.

Nah I think it is not a dumb way to evaluate it but that is my opinion. Yes the stats are split up but it produces two bodies which protect your face which can be more useful than it simply being just a single 8/10 because there are multiple bodies that have to be removed. I think the card is good, but in analysing it further probably much better in arena because for 7mana you are getting a 4/4 plus 2 2/3's with taunt which in arena is good enough, however in constructed this comes across as a control card and you are either smorced down by pirates before you get to turn 7 or you are starting to get overwhelmed by jade golems.
That actually got me thinking, when this expansion is released, won't players who are trying out fun decks with new cards simply get farmed by pirate and jade players similar to what happened to what shamans did on the first day of WOTOG?
This will see play on one condition (maybe two). 1) This will see play if Jades for some reason fall out of favor and 7 mana for 8/10 worth of stats without overload is pretty decent for Shaman. and 2) if elemental shaman is just better. it's hard to believe that reality but it could happen/

Hate to say it because it makes me feel a little bad but I'm going to bust out the Jade Shaman deck day one of the expansion to try and get some quick rank ups and gold. If I play enough games maybe I can get legend
I just don't think this is that good. 8/10 worth of stats over 3 small bodies for 7 mana does't seem worth it. Your opponent can easily clear with his board or almost any board clear in the game.
We will have to see what other elementals can synergize well to make this better.
Side note: this doesn't have good synergy with Ozruk as his battlecry is for every elemental played(not summoned) the previous turn.
so what stat is worthy? a 8/10 single minion with taunt that can also be hard removed? thing is, there will always be a counter for any cards, if there is none, then it will be a bad card. if you have both board clear or big minion removal when your opponent plays 3 small bodies or one big minion, then good for you, but if none, then it you have to deal with the damages, which is great for this Stone Sentinel.
A conditional card that is just above average when the condition is met.Don't kid yourself a 7/7 isn't worth 7 mana so saying "this thing gives you a 8/10 so it's good" it's stupid.
Just think how bad Twilight Guardian would be if it was a 2/5 and you needed to have a dragon to make it a Sen'jin Shieldmasta this is all I can think when I look a this card.
You just dont get enought out of the sinergy specially on a mana slot where better minions than this one are not worth playing.
I swear some of you are high or just dumb. This is a fantastic card. It does exactly what shaman likes, floods the board and provides protection to their more squishy minions. As is, it's basically a 4 mana 4/4 with feral spirits and no overload in one freaking card. I can't believe people are acting like it's hard for a shaman to play fire elemental on turn 6 either. Damn some of you guys have to be terrible at this game. I can tell you right now this card is going to be annoying to deal with.

All I see is Tirion flanked by Mukla and Injured Blademaster on turn 8
This should cost 6.
