It's really weird that this card is SO expensive. Most Murlocs are already 1-2 mana so you're basically still paying that same amount AND taking the damage for it. You gain nothing. (unless you play Finja, the flying star. Then this is insane.
That said, it is good with Coldlight Seer and Murloc Warleader but if you're ever able to get either of those down while you have Murlocs already on board you're really winning.
Maybe this means we're getting some more high cost murlocs? That would be cool.
It's actually pretty solid with Corrupted Coldlight Seer. But Murlocs are a questionable archtype outside of Paladin. Anyfin is the only reason that they see play as a tribe and not just the occasional one offs.
It's cards like this that really show how Murloc Knight crippled their design space for murlocs. Like Shredder did with 2 drops, it removed their ability to make powerful murlocs, so we get bad cards like this.
They could fix the problem, but we all know they're incapable of admitting their mistakes.
Warlock gets the card, but it's the paladin who gets the buff.
I remember this archetype being a thing back then, when Warlocks had the draw to put a lot of those synergistic fodder minions. But now I'm not so sure, and Warlocks already abuse thenselves a bit too much to be honest.
Crap, warlock needs better demons not murlocs The last good demon we got was Imp gang boss, all others have needed gimmick decks built around them or have just been plain bad!
Except for the awesome Abyssal Enforcer. I only hope he is not the only demon Warlocks will get in this expansion.
Damn, Warlock is my first golden hero solely for demon decks and demonhand decks. Bring Demonlock back Blizzard, let Murlocks to Paladins and Shamans...
I'm not sure why all of a sudden warlocks are getting a murloc. WAY back in the day, Murlock decks were a thing but then Blizzard decided they wanted to push shaman and paladin. Now, after all this time, warlocks finally get their own murloc? It's just odd.
Anyway, this card is pretty weak. Don't get me wrong, the effect is actually not bad at all, but the stat line you sacrifice to make up for it is just atrocious. Sure, it will benefit from the murloc synergy but overall, I just don't see Seadevil Stinger seeing play. If Murlock decks makes a comeback, I'd venture to say this card wouldn't make the cut.
I'm glad we finally have a class murloc that isn't paladun or Shaman, that being said, i'm not sure if this card is any good, but it's interesting none the less.
I think it's entirely possible that we might see each class get a class-specific Murloc minion/spell this expansion, since Murloc Knight and Anyfin Can Happen are about to rotate out. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Murloc cards from the Classic set got their text changed as well; it's clear that they're trying to push Murloc decks this time around.
Prediction time! I think Shaman is going to get one or two Murloc-related cards this time around. One of them will be a 2-mana Murloc with a strong effect to compete with Totem Golem, and another will be very specific: A 3-mana spell that reads "Summon a 1/1 Murloc with Spell Damage+1 for each enemy minion (Overload 2). A spell in the spirit of Protect the King! and Unleash the Hounds.

Man people are stupid if they don't get how good this card can be. Drawing 2 of these and any 3+ cost murloc is nutty. Even 1 into a 3+ cost murloc makes it either like free since its not uncommon in dedicated murloc deck for a warleader or seer to be your turn 4 and usually those are what you want after filling the board turn 3/4anyway. Topdecking this is good as well since usually your in topdecking mode t6+ in murloc warlock and getting this means you can hero power cast this and whatever other murloc you draw which you could not do ordinarily unless you drew 1-2 drops which would be worse for you anyway.
So lets look at the actual examples of how this plays out best to worst. Assume T1-2/3 you've just dropped a few cheap murlocs on the board since that is most of your games.
So anyway the question isn't is this card good, This is a actually one of the best cards in a dedicated warlock murloc deck. The questions you need to ask are "is a dedicated murloc warlk good or just a fun deck?" and "is murloc just straight better in pally / shammy after the new cards"

This card is shockingly good in a murloc decks, it helps even out your curve gives you a big tempo swing and enables you to threaten your opponent quite a bit since you can place a Murloc Warleader or Coldlight Seer and a 4/2 murloc for only 1 mana more, even curving in a Blowgill Sniper or Bluegill Warrior.
Unlike spells murlocs stick around until they're killed so comparing it to Cho'gall is not fair.
Ig, warlock has good hero power in Life tap, thus allows it to draw more cards, helping it place down murlocs quick, combined with Seaevil Stinger, allows it to put down many murlocs, overwhelming the opponent before Murloc Warleader dies at the cost of health make murloc warlock y/y 4 the memes kek

Now give us a big fucking murloc to play with this Blizzard.

This is by far the coolest named Murloc!
The bad stats and mana cost ruin the battlecry.
Experimenting with new decks is my passion , even if i make a couple bad decks i will not stop.
My Latest creation let me know what you think http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1103232-elemental-odd-shaman
