So the name just got updated, it was previously just called "Untitled Murloc". I saw the new name, and thought they revealed a new Warlock card, came back to find out it was this ... thing. Safe to say, this card has disappointed me TWICE already and it isn't even out yet.
It's kinda OK. Playing a 2-drop from this is kind of like a 2-mana 4/2 with a lose 2 life battlecry, which is not terrible, but not super worthwhile. Playing with a 3-drop, this is is kinda a 4/2 version of Flame Imp. I mean, I don't think Murloc Warlock is going to be a top archetype, but this card seems like it'll make the deck better.
Just too expensive to justify the low health. Yes, please let me spend 4 mana, 2 cards, and some health to get out some more murlocs to die to a low-level board clear. If it were a 3/3 and thus had a marginal chance of surviving the mid-game board, I would say yes. If it cost 2 and were a 2/1 I would say yes. But this thing can't be played until turn 4 and is very easy to deal with. Maybe it goes well with the new legendary, but you have that in hand. This is a Tier 4 thing.
Oh, and it is completely useless if you have no other murloc in hand, which is going to happen a lot of the time, especially on turn 4.
Playing any card for 0 mana is about the most powerful effect in HS.
If this were true, Cho'gall would have been in every Warlock deck since Old Gods appeared. It turns out that when the card containing this effect is overpriced for its body and the pool of "free stuff" you can get is severely limited (individual Murlocs and Warlock spells are not generally very good): You gain no actual mana advantage and you throw away your own health on a mediocre card that you probably should have just played at full price.
Any Murloc we know of at this point is either already cheap or just not good, so the effect is pretty pointless. You might -- MIGHT -- get a powerfully swingy turn by following up with Finja, but then you'd want to build your deck without any other battlecry Murlocs. I'm not sure it's worth that additional restriction. Plus, now you're depending on a combo with a legendary, which is twice as hard as finding a combo with 2-ofs.
It's absolutely true. You're just blatantly ignoring the remainder of what I said: "But are Murlocs any good? Who knows?"
Good try though. 10/10 would troll again.
No, your comment blatantly ignored all the other caveats involved, and you called it a "powerful Murloc" when it's very obviously a piece of trash.
Seadevil Stinger doesn't really reduce anything to 0, once you read the fine print and factor in the terrible stats. You pay 1.5 mana more than what this card is actually worth, so in essence, you're reducing the cost of the next Murloc to 1.5, not 0, AND you're spending Health on it. This is not a powerful Murloc at all.

I wouldn't call it a piece of trash persay. Its just pretty average but if you were to make a Murlock deck you would probably put this card in anyway just because you have the chance to get the super-nut draw with a second Seadevil Stinger or Finja, the Flying Star. If this card was 3 mana it would probably be stupidly good although I understand the arguement that this card should have better stats.
you could definitely consider this to be a strong murloc. And on the case of Cho'Gall, I don't think Cho'Gall itself is a bad card. The effect itself is actually pretty powerful but it requires a lot of support from other Warlock cards, mainly good spells. It's one of those cards that gets more and more ridiculous as more cards come out and in a year or two you'll probably see Cho'Gall everywhere in Wild.

Excellent troll. 11/10. You're getting better. Maybe next time you can 0-mana/10 troll me!
This exactly shows me that the majority of the forum does have absolutely no idea how good or bad a card is: Trash cards like Potion of Polymorph get ridiculous high votings while this is considered as Trash while it isn't. Murlocs only needs a little push to be a very powerful deck, it only misses a few cards.
The stat contribution is not good in an normal deck, that's for sure, but the effect can be very strong. And who knows what cards warlocks are gaining, there is still this mysterious potion...
1) polypotion is as much a trash card as Mirror Entity, which has never been a trash card.
2) Seadevil Stinger is trash as of right now, as long as we don't get another murloc that is highly synergistic with it.
3) "the effect can be very strong" doesn't mean it's a good card for competitive play. Majordomo effect can be very strong.
1.) Mirror Image and Potion of Polymorph is not the same, it doesn't even play in the same league. While Mirror Entity gives you tempo, this card doesn't. And tempo is important for mage. Heck, it gives the enemy still a 1/1 and it's even a beast. And Battlecrys still trigger. If you have Mirror Image, even when you gain a small minion, the enemy still need to deal with it. While you need to deal with the Sheep. It's trash and only there to nerf cabal-potion synergy.
2.) We have already a good base. Warlock "lacks" card draw for murlocs, sti
3.) This card has far more potential than Potion of Polymorph and it's actually quite good. Is it good enough to see play? Less than Potion of Polymorph for sure, simply because people think that's a good card.
This is a card that has potential if there is more support for Murlocke by Blizzard. I can't really rate this card right now because of that but there is definitely potential here if some higher mana Murlocs come out. Playing this thing in combination with a Warleader or Finja could be good but I don't think it's constructed good.

OK, fine, I get it. You were being sarcastic. You got me. Congratulations.
In my defense, there are plenty of people who might have said the same thing with utter sincerity.

It's basically Cho'gall but for murlocs instead of spells and I really don't consider Murloc Warlock a viable deck so... not great.
I thought it was good until I saw it's a Warlock card. What is that.
i think it will play like silverware golem, should be a decent strategy. board flood on the real.
I guess it's a buff to Murloc Knight as least.

Bad card, love the art/name

I guess people don't want to have fun with murlocs and shit on this card.
I think this card would have been hilarious as a 10 mana "all murlocs you play this turn cost health and not mana."
Sort of a really bad Anyfin Warlock deck. :D
