I don't think this card is as good as people think it is. Remember it costs 8 mana, unplayable for face hunter. For a control deck it's slightly better than Kraken, which didn't see any standard play, with 2 weak bodies instead. For Arena it's great, for ranked it probably won't see much play unless the value of incoming cards is so bad that we will revert to Argent Commander type of cards.
It's not just face or control hunter. Midrange hunter exists, and this card fits perfectly in it.
Did you read the card? It has 3 bodies first of all and the stats are 12/10 for 8 so it's much better than kraken. Also leok buffs all the minions already have on the board. Also you get three beasts so they can trigger kill command later. The value is much more than you think and it will be played for sure.
Maybe in standard. But I dont see why hunters wouldnt play this card and Dr Boom as well in Wild. But I do see this card as taking higher priority over Dr Boom for hunters.
The feelings of both dread and excitement are strong thinking about this card right now. Please Blizzard, for the love of god, don't give Hunter any more aggro right now.
It is a very good card, but meta-defining; not even in the wettest hunter-dream. It is no anyfin or mysterious challenger that changes the meta entirely (and no paladin-card, so it's not overpowered), but it's a very good spell. It's a bit of a win-more card, but i think this card shines the most when you are struggling with board control. For example: Enemy destroyed your highmane, you have 2 hyenas and maybe 1 hound on the field, and in the next turn you are sure that the enemy has an aoe. If blizzard nerfs kill command this card will shine. Simply because you then gain 3 extra attack and 3 minions and 4 damage with huffer.

Helps end game. Summons a 10/10 (technically a 12/10) in three bodies. Offers immediate help with charge, help on defense with taunt, and help with attack to make trades better.
An example I'd like to point out is that you can deal with a senjin, dark iron dwarf and knife juggler all with this 8 mana card with a remaining 2/1. Huffed kills the senjin, dark iron dwarf needs to attack Misha, and the following turn you deal with the knife juggler (I know thaat a dream scenario but im talking in theory). That's 10 mana worth of stuff (12 if they ping leokk). Not only that but it doubles as a 8 mana deal 5 if you need it. Fantastic card in many ways for a slower hunter such as midrange or control. Very excited for this.
Is this a complaint? Are you saying that the card isn't great because it doesn't give triple 4/2 Charge? Seriously?!!!
Summon 3 Huffer for 1 card and 8 mana would be like Force of Nature plus Savage Roar for 1 less mana but you don't get +2 for yourself but DO get to keep the minions at end of turn.
This is all for one less card and, crucially, you don't need to draw two cards in to your hand before playing the combo.
Any Hunter is face hunter, "midrange" Hunter is just a Savannah going face kind of a hunter. There were only 3 real midrange decks in history of Hearthstone - Vanila Midrange Shaman, GvG Midrange Paladin and BRM Demon Zoo. Oh, and new Patron is actually kind of a midrange.
I strong disagree here. You can say every hunter is aggro, but no "face",
Face hunter got its name because every single card was used to hit the enemy hero, almost never trading. This card doesn't fit this kind or archetype, because face hunter doesn't even want to reach turn 8.
I guess de discussion here is what everyone consider face deck, aggro, midrange, tempo, etc.
For 8 mana? Really? Three Animal Companions=9 mana for three cards. This=8mana for one card. What is this? Value hunter?
It's not 3 mana for each card, because each summoned minion from animal companion is above 3 mana value due to the randomness. Probably 3.5 in value each.
With this card you KNOW you will get each of them, no randomness, so really it's 10.5 or so in value. + you are getting the leokk buffs, which easily puts it into the 11+ mana range.
Yes, okay that's true, but I suppose that supports the underlying message in that it is underpriced. Also, that randomness is both a blessing and a curse, with this card you can't get triple huffer like you could with triple companion (in theory ofc). And if you just do the maths we're going to have Evil Heckler (4) + Reckless Rocketeer (6, but honestly it's 5) + a 2/4 (3, actually 2,5 but compensating here for additional minions) = about 12 mana. Blizzard=going wild with this one.
Ya, it is underpriced, pretty much no matter what method you use to get there. Even just between this card and Savannah Highmane now makes midrange hunter very very scary in the value game.
Amazing card for Control Hunter, and probably worth running 2 the value is so high. That's a lot of great minions to put into play from a single spell and you get a lot of immediate value between the 5/2 charge and 5/4 taunt. Makes the 2/4 just gravy. Its basically a Dr. Boom-level class card without the random and you can't BGH any of it. Probably undercosted since the output is non-random. Since your Savannah Highmane already put a lot of pressure on the board, having this to follow it up is a really big finish.

I't is the level of Tirion without the downside of legendary limitation.
Very few cards are a good response for this, Flamestrike and Auchenai combo.

Yep. Like I said, Dr. Boom level. You can have a completely empty board, and wham... regain control in a single card. It really is undercosted at 8... it leaves room for a little removal or hero power. I think its still totally playable as a 10 cost, but then you'd likely only run a single copy. A single copy is all you need though.

Next time you play Starfire ask yourself if you'd be fine with paying 2 more mana for a freaking 5/4 and a 2/4 instead of drawing a card.
