So turns out this card is amazing just the problem is Hunter has a very hard time coming back from falling behind in the early game as well as not having the best early game compared to classes like Shaman and Warlock.
Yeah I found the same to be true. Even running deathrattle and value minions doesn't seem to be enough. Shaman just has huge creatures that come out early. Zoo floods better and its harder to keep board control against. I need to break down and buy some packs to get N'zoth and try a death rattle heavy variant.

Every deck has bad matchups. Midrange Hunter will never beat zoo, no matter what kind of fancy doodads you sprinkle in.
Shaman's not so bad if you have some removal and are lucky enough to draw it at the right time. But you can't put in too much, or you'll ruin your deck.

I'm playing a spell hunter with Yogg, and it's great fun and so far has won me the majority of matches. The only minions are 2x King's Elekk, Emperor Thaurissan, and Yogg-Saron. Then you have 2x Call of the Wild, 2x Animal Companion, 2x Bear Trap, 2x Unleash the Hounds for extra minions, but summoned by spells. 2x Lock and Load for some hefty card draw, 1x Ball of Spiders for more card draw, the rest is removal. Give it a try, it's the most fun I've had with a deck :-)
Hunter have a very bad time vs zoo but is hard to any C'Thun or heavy control deck beat the high valor you get with Princess, Savanna and Call.
Shaman is hard to beat by any deck right now, almost invincible with a good starting hand, the problem is the hammer, you don't use a lot of tech cards vs weapons because cost much slot in deck, is only Harrison or maybe one 3/2, and if you don't destroy the weapon in your next turn cost the game.
If you are losing when you play this, it won't change that. If you are winning, even just a little bit, then you cannot possibly lose.
I'm here to kick ass and play cards, and I'm all out of ass.

I still like it in Beast oriented Hunter...
