at 10 mana will this can only summon a few cards. a Deathwing with no negative battle cry would be pretty sweet
Sorry, but if you play this card, you should ALWAYS hero-power first. There are more good 8 mana Minions than 10 mana ones. There's only Deathwing and C'thun, but only when you play a C'thun deck. The next best thing is Sea Giant, and a 8/8 is suboptimal for 10 mana when 8 mana normally also have a statline of 8/8, for example Ragnaros or even the new 8/8 from LoE.
Maybe the other 10 mana old gods make it worth to cast it at 10 mana, but for now, the 8 mana-list is superior and you can use your hero-power.
Vanilla minions are not played because they completely lack tempo. With this card, you will : - 1/3 of the time get a battlecry minion, losing so much tempo (enjoy your 6 mana yeti with The Black Knight) - 1/3 of the time get a shitty minion (enjoy your Magma Rager) - 1/3 of the time get a card that has no synergy whatsoever with your deck (enjoy your Gadgetzan Auctioneer)
Of course, from time to time you'll get a lucky Injured Blademaster. But that is some RNG Priest does not need.

This is a threat, a curve, or great tempo. Its so flexible that it doesnt matter if it's sub optimal. Cards like keeper of the grove are suboptimal in either mode, but great because of its flexibility (and innervate, but I digress).
Not bad but I think Forbidden Flame (mage version) is better. Also it should've been "Discover" not "Summon". There might be bad suprises or unnecessary summons.
This card is OP Entomb turn 6 them summon a 6 cost minion into play. How is this card worse than unstable portal? Its much better plus you have control over the cost of the minon so it does have rng but you do decide when to use it. The tricky thing with this card is that you have to spend all your mana so if you have 1 mana left over then you can not use this card yet.

If you use it on turn 6 after entomb, you get in the best case a Murloc Tinyfin in Pink Cotton (Standard) Mode or a Target Dummy in Wild mode. And sometimes it might be useful even at 1 mana, because having 1 additional minion on the field is often better than nothing.

This card has absolutely nothing to do with the cards in your deck. Playing it on turn 6 with Entomb will give you a random 0 mana minion. I'm not sure you fully understand how this card works.
If you have one mana left over, this card will USE that one mana and will summon a random one cost minion.
If you have 2 mana left over this will SPEND THAT MANA and will summon a 2 cost minion.
If you have 10 mana left over, THIS CARD WILL SPEND ALL 10 OF YOUR MANA AND SUMMON A RANDOM MINION THAT COSTS 10. That means that AFTER YOU PLAY THIS CARD you will have 0 mana left over.

Listen, you think this card gives you a minion base on how much mana you spent this turn. It's not like that; you play this card and it expends all the mana you have left to summon a minion equal to whatever value that mana is. If you play Entomb and Forbidden Shaping on turn 6 all you get on the board is a 0 mana minion because you had no mana left.
I think this card is cool! Priests needed a card like this because the Museum Curator "nerf" in standard. Now you have a minion always on curve against aggro in the early game and against control a late game big buddy. Not game changing but a necessary tool for priest in their current playstyle
They would if it could also be a card at any other mama slot

This card is unplayable in priest I wish it was warlock or warrior. I love the idea of these new cards but I doubt it will make it onto any
one's lists, from what we've seen so far. I reserve the right to change my opinion after the new cards are all released.
Would be a GREAT card you could build a deck around if it used the discover mechanic, as it stands it seems too RNG.
Hitting on curve is where this card will shine. Missing a drop for 3 mana in your curve, this is perfect for making you curve out.
talkkng about its inconsistency on turn 6 is pointless if you can't get to turn six because you had to pass on turn 4.
10 mana - deathwing - discard all cards in hand
next turn draw this card and boom! another deathwing
How is this card a good card ?

Turn 5 Doomguard is disgusting.
