Wow, great change! They had talked about that being problematic because they didn't have any other effect that checked library state continuously and were worried that it would slow the game down to look for duplicates.
Awesome news! So this means they figured a way for the game to check the library for conditions. I wonder if this means a new avenue of potential mechanics opened up!
This seems like a nice Quality of Life change. I usually keep track of the few duplicates but sometimes real life decides to distract me so this will help. It also helps with the cards Tracking discards because it's easier to remember played cards than those discarded also.
who need to think right? lets just look at the shining lights and it will be all right.
Of course they needed to make this change, cuz Reno wasn't a card stupid enough already. and reno players arent the smartest as well, so, light sighs to everyone.
(nevermind me, i'am just salty cuz i hate reno)

need take time to make new pic and signature using the new cards.
I love Reno, but this is moronic. If a player chooses to throw some dupe card into a deck, it's up to them to remember what they've played and whether or not you can activate him or not. I understand deck tracker could feasibly do this for a player too, but that's been OK'ed by the HS team. I suppose in hindsight there isn't much difference between doing it through DT or by way of Hearthstone making the card glow, but it still feels off to me.
I seem to be one of the few people who didn't want this, since it makes it depend at least partially on skill to remember what you've played or not.
Yeaaaah, running a deck tracker or using pencil and paper isn't skill. I suppose one could argue that memory is skill since you can actively improve your memory, but yeah I still wouldn't necessarily call it a skill.
I don't see how anyone could possibly complain about this and have legit reasoning behind it. It doesn't help anyone play any better or worse, because it doesn't change the state of the game. One could argue that it might prevent a player from incorrectly playing Reno, but so do deck trackers, so does pen and paper. For instance, the other day I mistakenly played Brann Bronzebeard and Elise Starseeker, putting two maps into my deck. When my Reno hit, I smacked myself in the forehead. But the same could have happened if my opponent played Beneath the Grounds and I had lost count of how many were still in my deck, especially, for instance, if my opponent played two copies of it, and some of them burned up due to overdrawing (with say Coldlight Oracle). In that case, I'm supposed to not only track how many 4/4s are on the board, but also how many have died, and how many have burned up, and how many are still in my deck. And who knows if similar cards will come out in future Adventures/Expansions.
As another person mentioned, Reno Jackson is a complete gamble when you receive it from Golden Monkey. I've had 12 legendaries still in my deck after playing it, and Reno in hand, and it goes off. Other times I've gotten the same legendary three times from Golden Monkey.
Before this patch, people who used multiple copies of cards in reno decks had to either remember well or guess if they can use reno for heal.
But no longer!! Reno jackson now glows yellow when his battlecry can be activated.
Thank you Blizzard!

That's very nice! Though now with the deck tracker feature of the Inkeeper I wonder if it's very relevant...

Used to be a proud Handlock player.
Legend 17 times.
Still flirting with the ladder from times to times with Renolock.
Hearthstone is primarily about decision making. Deck tracking is second fiddle.
