With the ROS expansion, I am looking at the above again.
I came across a fanciful warlock combo that tried to utilise ROS cards. It requires 5 cards as the last cards in your deck. Dorian + plot twist (shuffle mecha thun to create 1/1 mecha thun on board) + destroy Dorian + discard your lowest cost card (only mecha thun by now) and deal 2 dmg to all minions (which now kills your 1/1 mecha thun).
I then realise that for warlock mecha thun, it seems that ROS is not of much use. Because the emperor + mecha thun + destroy is more efficient and requires only 3 combo cards. Which hero in wild do you currently use for mecha thun that is the best? It still seems like nzoth+guldan mecha thun is the way to go. Would appreciate some guidance.
This is my rendition of nzoth guldan mecha thun that allows me to stall, heal, remove aggro, taunt, clear board, life steal, provide draw and finally use the combo.

Wild: Warlock (It's still a super subpar deck tho).
Standard: Warrior (Quite literally the only class that can reliably run Mecha'thun and the deck is actually pretty solid, amazing tech in the mirror if you face it a lot).
It does feel like a hit and miss in wild (60% of the time I win). But then again, in wild only archmage vargoth catrina big priest is reliable, isn’t it?
If you are playing in Wild, just use the Bloodbloom > Cataclysm combo to dump your hand and kill Mecha'thun lol. All you need to do is hit Bloodbloom and Mecha'thun with Emperor Thaurissan once or Mecha'thun with Galvanizer(s). Thats it, no need to do some weird shit with Dollmaster Dorian and clog your hand with more dead cards. This shit worked as an Even Mechathun WL quite well in the past. Might not be the fastest way to close out games today, but it is definitely better than what you have :) I suppose you dont need to go Even route, but hero power for 1 mana helped getting to the combo pieces very fast, since you could basically tap every turn and still play stuff.
I've been trying to make Mechathun Warlock work in wild but it's really hard against the infinite Murloc Shaman, Odd Paladin and Kingsbane decks. How do you guys mulligan or plan your game with these matchups?
Mmm I did try that before but bloodbloom tends to kill your hero at the late game :(
maybe I’ll try it again
Dont tell me you cant spare 4 hp lol. If you would consistently be unable to finish the game with 5 or more hp i think you would have a much different problem than Bloodbloom killing you.
i suggest teching Treachery to combo with Doomsayer to counter big priest
this change improve my winrate alot
For moment i was thinking thats too much effort and that they want their stuff to die anyway but then i laughed at the thought of them getting a doomsayer in their mass res spells LUL

In wild warlock mecha'thun is most definitely the best class. It's basically the only real competitive mecha'thun deck.
Wild: Warlock (It's still a super subpar deck tho).
Standard: Warrior (Quite literally the only class that can reliably run Mecha'thun and the deck is actually pretty solid, amazing tech in the mirror if you face it a lot).
