I just lost to a combo druid that used deathwing, executus amd clockwork autamon to deal 128 dmg to face. I understand that wild is going to be unbalanced to a degree but the deathwing cleared my board and there was nothing to stop the 128 dmg to face besides a dirty rat early on which I dont play. As I said, I've never complained before but is this legit? I have to play dirty rat or lose to this? He won on turn 10, 3 times over
That's the meme version of the more popular of Aviana Kun Togwaggle combo druid.
As you said, Dirty Rat is their biggest weakness. But as you can't make a deck out of Dirty Rats, Eater of Secrets and Acidic Swamp Oozes alone, you need to decide if you face them often enough to make it worth running tech cards making your other matchups worse.

Rule No.1: OTK beats Control. Of course you can put a rat or deathknight in your deck and try to counter OTK decks.
Yes and yes. If you know you have no chance to win vs. this deck and you know there is a way to beat it ... if you dont use that way to beat it you will lose to it. Also FUCKING STOP EXPECTING TO BE ABLE TO BEAT EVERY DECK WITH EVERY OTHER DECK.
^ This. I can't stand when players purposefully don't use a card that beats another deck and then want that deck nerfed and/or complain about it.
That is how Raging Worgen Warrior (an actual meme deck) get obliterated.
I'd expect decks like Kingsbane Rogue to be complained about more since they are more akin to decks like Shudderwok in that you don't need to sit on all of your Kingsbane buff/combo pieces the whole game to absolutely destroy people. And dirty rat has very low impact against the deck.
You're absolutely right about not expecting to win against every deck. Kingsbane rogue has never been a problem with this deck (see pic) and thinking about it neither would this druid have been if I had a few extra turns of play left. I suppose the frustration was with the speed at which the combo pieces were gathered and the amount damage dealt. I don't disagree that there are counters to this deck
Assembling a combo that requires 4 legendaries usually doesn't happen until you have drawn almost your entire deck. Your opponent was very lucky to get all the combo pieces by turn 10.

If somebody did that, I would definitely give them a 'well played' for using an interesting deck.

Use burn mage, they will be dead before T9
I give up. How is it 128? Starts at 8, then doubled, twice? Oh, nevermind. Off to craft it.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
