I'm playing a wild control paladin deck and was thinking about swaping Sunkeeper Tarim for Eadric the Pure. What do you think about this change? Is Eadric worth crafting? I think he will be more defensive than Tarim, and agaist jade druid it may be very good.
It might be very good against Jade Druid, but I don't even think he is better than Sunkeeper Tarim. If you make the Jade Golems 1/5+ or 3/3 does not really matter (maybe unless the Druid has a full board with high attack Golems, but that is also a fringe case). Both are minions you can deal with. And your 1/1s become 3/3s with Sunkeeper, while Eadric doesn't buff your Dudes (or other small minions .
There is a reason that Sunkeeper is a staple in Midrange Paladin (even in wild) and Eadric never was. Eadric has no taunt, for Starters, so he can't really save you against face damage from weapons or chargers. He costs 1 more mana (which actually is a huge deal) and can't buff your own minions. A 7 mana 3/7 is underwhelming. It is true that sometimes you'd wish you could Play Eadric instead of Sunkeeper (when the Opponent has a lot of minions and you don't), but these occasions are rare and you lost most likely anyways.
I have him and when I tried him, he never really performed well. However, it might be that my experience is too Long ago and now he actually would be much better (although I doubt it). But unless you don't care about dust, I advise against crafting him. In particular if you already have Sunkeeper Tarim.
Eadric does not have the same effect as Tarim. Eadric lowers their attacks, yes, but you probably still need to deal with them. Tarim allows for extremely favorable trades if you have two 1/1 minions on the board.
Thank you all for the quick answers, I'm mostly a wild player for a few seasons now. I think I'll stay with "just" Tarim and when I'll have enough dust I may craft Eadric and I'll tell you guys my thougts about him!

Coming from someone who crafted Eadric don't do it... It looks way better than it actually is,Tarim does the job way better....

He is vital for this deck
But tbh Tarim is a lot better (I opened Eadric from a pack and crafted Tarim).
"Prepare yourself for the ultimate test!" (aka the disadvantage you put yourself in using Eadric over Tarim). ;)
