My favorite moment so far was as a priest, playing hunter, I played Reminisce immediately after he'd removed a threat with his Infinite Wolf. I got an Infinite Wolf out of it and removed HIS threat, and on the game went. Sadly, I didn't draw another...it would've been entertaining to keep beating him with it. But, I won regardless.
Find it really fun. I think the trick is to still craft to the deck and not just pick all new cards (which I did in the beginning)
in the end I went 12 wins with a mage (2 blizzards) with 3 1-3 add a cards and 2 stonehills. Top that off with 2 Leyline Manipulators to discount all the discovers and you got a game.
Just got a shitty draft where I was only offered an event card once (cavern dreamer). Still got 8-3. The cards are good, but not CRUCIAL
FYI, Cavern dreamer is nuts, one of the best of the new cards. But of course they're not crucial - paladin is still decently strong, and they got chaff. In Mage, I never find I'm offered as many spells as other people, particularly people like the 5 board wipe decks that just wipe the floor with everything.
Yeah, Cavern Dreamer is absolutely busted. In the games where I drew him on curve, I got I think at least 3 spells each, since I was able to use the generated spells and taunts on curve to protect it. One game I ramped with Wild Growth and had amazing removal for Stubborn Gastropod with Breath of Sindragosa, Execute, and Eviscerate. The spells being cheap means you can often use them to protect your board during the early game when using all your mana is very important.
From what I can see there is no come back if you start to get beaten about in a game with the new cards, once you lose board control or your face gets smacked about it seems incessant to the point of getting down low on health and not being able to make the play that turns the game slightly in your favour again.
In the 'normal' arena, I have won games from being 20 and more health behind and playing around their decks or cards or situation to turn the game back in my favour, with this new flavour, you even win by 25 or 30 health or lose by a couple of streets. I havn't had any really close games so to speak.
At the moment I am ten runs with only nine total wins and a high of three wins. (Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!!!)
Its not bitchin' the guy asked what your experience was, just how it is for me. Not the best.
Despite the sheer power of the new cards, I was quite unlucky with draft: I went 1-3 (for the first time in my whole brief Arena carreer) and unable to play anything interesting even with the RNG effects.
In my case, I enjoyed the normal free Arenas better (where I normaly score 4-3 in average).
As a priest, just played (and lost) to a mage with 3 (!) Stasis Dragons, 3 Cavern Dreamers (each of which I killed after one turn, but which gave him key cards), along with other big guys like a Violet Wurm, Deranged Doctor, etc. No idea how I survived through 20 cards like I did, but with that many big cards, I think they'll have an issue against someone who gets a better curve than I did.
I don't think there have been any changes. I always seem to get 2 or 3 in one draft then see none for the next dozen runs.
Weird. Also slightly annoying. I've seen a couple multi legendary decks, and I want in on the action!
I've done around 10 arena runs and got one legendary pick ever (it was the dragon legendary that decreased time per turn but increased draw). I want Chromie!!
I had a multi-legendary priest deck the other day and got 7-3, went in last night with a below par paladin deck and managed to go 12-0 (only Taverns of Time card i had was the Giant). Did run into a LOT of mages though and even though Cavern Dreamer is kind of busted, the decks mage usually draft are shotty at best. I firmly believe paladin is still top of the arena list.
Does anyone else find that Arena goes X-0 with no issues whatsoever, then 3 losses in a row? It's feels so much like the game picks a number of wins and then the RNG turns shitty after that point (No, it's not stuffing tilt, before you claim that, because it doesn't matter if I take breaks or not). Paired with the fact that soft-infinite basically doesn't exist anymore - you get well under 90g for 6 wins, and hard infinite at 7, with what feels like a much reduced set of rewards, sometimes the arena just feels like it takes the piss.
Kinda yeah, almost all my runs today ended up like that. Feels pretty bad :/
I'm currenty 10-0 with warrior with three fatecleavers. Fatevleavers is nuts in the high wins, because people start having drafts of tons of good cards, and it's so satisfying to see three cavern dreamers burned out of your opponent's hand and deck with a swing of the weapon xD
Also, all I've gone against since 5-0 are mages. It's insane.
Edit: 12-1. Fitting lethal during fatigue against mage (with four blizzards and two flamestrikes!) with my third fatecleaver. My one loss was against a paladin with their buffs and Tirion. Seems that I do well against decks that try to punish the board (e.g. mage) and do worse against decks that create and leverage their board (e.g. paladin).
Chromie is awesome. I've played her and at least twice had a turn where I would draw 3 of her cards doing +2 stats to my side, 2 damage to enemy, and draw 2 spells or legends. Not to mention one game where I got Ysera from her and then used a dream card to take Chromie back and play her again for another set of her cards.

That's ridiculous. How many wins did you end up having?
Had a satisfying Taverns of Time experience last night. I used Fatecleaver to destroy three Mithril Golems at once. Yeah, I won that game - mmm, so good!

I had fun the first 2 days, now it seems to be a Mage clown fiesta. I'm going back to Standard.

Constructed player here. I never Arena.

I have played about 10 runs or so and haven't seen a single legendary in my card pool. Are there just a lot less with the increased arena cards?

I don't play arena unless it's free, but was happy with my:
- NA 8-3 Paladin
- EU 6-3 Rogue (crappy deck)
- Asia 4-3 Mage
So 18-9 is not bad for a non arena player (in my eyes).
