I had similar issue, I don't think collection updates are reliably working even manually.

posted a message on Simplify collection editing

Yeah, I started manually updating my collection the other day and found a lot of issues. It was disappointing, I liked being able to tell at a glance how much dust I needed to craft each deck. I'd still use the collection manager even without Innkeeper, but looks like that's not an option here now.

posted a message on Cart Crash At The Crossroads is This Week's Tavern Brawl

I agree with not getting rid of it, but I wouldn't consider this a fun place that's not overrun with tryhards. When I play 'build-a-deck' brawls (like the one where you build a deck with 2 or 3 cards), tryhards are almost all I see. I don't play those brawls much anymore, specifically because I don't enjoy playing with, or against, those people.

posted a message on Has anyone else quit playing rank?

I play ranked, but only around ranks 19-24 (or 19-20 in regions where I've gone over 15 in the past). I like decks that have more RNG and aren't top-tier, and there's little point in playing those in ranked 'cause even bad players will beat them. Like you, I've found more variety in Casual, so I prefer that. And I've been playing more in Wild than Standard, because there's even more variety there. Plus, there are more supporting cards in Wild for things like Burglary Rogue and Dragon Paladin, not to mention Yogg and Renounce Darkness.

Edit - In addition to playing casual or staying in low ranks to have more fun, I highly recommend auto-conceding against decks you don't like playing against or have a lousy winrate against. It saves time overall, and has helped me enjoy my time a LOT more. Squelching helps too.

I'll probably stick to Wild, primarily, if aggro's a problem.

Unfortunately this is pretty much a subjective question I'm afraid.
You'll likely get a whole variety of different opinion-drive answers.

Suffice to say, the game has grown over the last couple of years, and it is about to change dramatically in April once more, so it's possibly a good time to get back in for that very reason - you'll have more chance to catch up now than in a couple of expansions time.

Fun is relative. Lots of people are having loads of fun. Lots of people are still finding things to complain about. The salt thread continues from strength to strength.
I think there's nothing to worry about - the game is still growing strong and shows no sign of dying - so it's not a pointless investment to return.

Whether you enjoy yourself.... well, that's entirely up to you ;-)

I agree that any opinion is subjective, but I'd add that I think the game population IS shrinking. Whether or not that consitutes 'dying' is, again, subjective, because there are still many people playing, but I definitely feel like the game is on a slow downward trajectory.

posted a message on Im proud of casual EU vs casual NA

I play casual on NA for about 1/3 of my quests, and I don't have that problem. I'd say I see T1-T2 decks there about as often as I do in the other regions. I just concede out of 'em and try again.

    Quote from newqqnew >>

Hi recent update said u can't down rank once u reached rank 15 and I'm 1 win away from reaching  Pro free 100 dust monthly cons permanently facing tougher opponents for daily quest

You can always do your daily quests in casual instead of ranked. Kinda sucks, but that's what I'll probably do since I don't have competitive decks for each class.

    Quote from 1xbenx1 >>

Disappointingly, I didn't find it to be as fun as last time. I think the element of "neutral stone" really made the class combinations less interesting.

Agreed, I barely would have known there was an event. I kept seeing all the same cards, so kinda boring.

And after a winning percentage of about 75% the first week, I played some more the past few days with a 30% winning percentage. Some of that was bad luck (balancing good luck in the first week), but not all. I think most casuals are gone now, so I'm out too. It's not fun feeding the sharks.

    Quote from MaryanneAmacher >>

gotta admit that (dual) Arena is pretty depressing for someone who hasn't played it that much. You've looked up tons of info and tips, curved out nicely, said no to dumb deck ideas, but then you lose 0-3 to perfectly crafted decks that just keep on coming up with answers.

just my opinion not a great argument or anything, but: I think for Hallow's End, it might've been nice to maybe make Arena way, way more RNG, I mean, to make it more likely people will hit weird combos and more whackier cards in general, so as to make it more fun for everyone (except pros maybe haha), since heaps of peeps are trying it out right now.

I gave up after 5 runs, and most of those games were just total oppression from t1. But then when I won, it was usually a walk in the park, as well. But yeah cool idea still, tho as people have pointed out, there aren't that many class cards to go around so those sweet combos doesn't really appear that often.

I feel like, in general, the people who play arena all the time have effectively closed the door to non-arena players. They're too good, so only when there's an influx of new players (like now) do the normal players have a chance to do well.

Personally, I don't play a ton of arena, but I used to average about 4 wins a few years ago. That dropped to 2 when I tested the arena waters during the Un'Goro era, and has remained between 2-3 when I've occasionally popped in since then. During special events I can usually get closer to 4 wins, so I still play during those, but averaging 2-3 wins outside the events has killed my desire to play it at other times. Given a choice of inefficiently spending gold on arena runs against experienced players to hopefully learn and improve, or just giving arena up and spending gold on packs, I choose the latter. Let the sharks consume each other.

posted a message on Now that all cards have been revealed, will you pre-order ?

Didn't pre-order, but I never do.  I'm F2P aside from the welcome bundle. And I've got a decent amount of gold saved up now thanks to the fire festival.

posted a message on On a scale of 1 to 5, how much are you hyped for BDP ?

It's a 4 for me.  I'm more hyped for this one than I was for the last two, in part because I'm excited about all the mech possibilities in Wild.

posted a message on Reveal Stream - Decks we'll get to see

I'm hoping that the puzzle mode isn't static, and that they've created a mode that can create pseudo-random puzzles that change each time you play. If it's a static mode, there won't be much replayability for it, and it'd be unlikely that any quests would revolve around it.  I think they'll probably show it off tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm guessing they'll have warlock and hunter decks, at least, in the final reveal since so many of them haven't been shown yet.
