Mage has the only spell cost reducer, obviously strongest class (or is it?). Fortunately everyone can choose mage if they wish. Not sure why complain, it isn't ladder and pet deck not work well.
It is irritating that players are so try-hard in what is supposed to be a fun mode, where you try new stuff. They're actually net decking .... in a casual mode? 'DansGame!'
I won 2 games using a thrown together Paladin deck when it opened up, and can't be bothered now knowing everyone is using the same decks, as if the amount of wins mattered without being creative.
I hate tempo mages though it's obvious it's a good deck in this mode and for sure will have a great win rate so why use it instead of something less boken..
I used GP warrior vs them with kezan easy with mulligan kezan and let them get you free cards with their pings.
Easily 50% mages right now, probably more lol. They almost all run Strifecro's exact list he was running last night ( one I assume you can get off hearthpwn.)
Kezan mystic is bad though. Half of them run kezan themselves and some don't even run secrets. Even if you trigger it, you steal a mirror entity or spellbender, both of which can easily be dealt with by the mage for almost free.
There's not much you can do against them. They've moved to counter themselves now, so some run 1-2 clockwork giants and even polymorph ( to kill the other guy's antonidas I assume ). But if you run enough big things, they can't deal with them. Doing Aoe+ clockwork giant is very strong because usually the only way they have to deal with anything is to buff minions with bananas. So now they just have to drop a minion, put 5 bananas on it and hope you trade your giant into it. BUT YOU WON'T MWAHAHAHA.
Ok control warrior pretty successful ( especially grommash. Grommash + flip banana + death's bite = 19 face damage, 21 if you have a big banana ).
I was going to try freeze mage but then realize that everyone is running kezan, owls and they get the flip banana for free, which just kills doomsayers. So probably that deck is not great.
9-0 with this now. The shaman hero power is insanely better than the mage hero power in this challenge, so as long as you can counter their unfair cards, you win. Doesn't hurt that most people impatiently throw out flamewaker and apprentice for almost no value and just lose it all to lightning storm.
I remember first time playing brawl this week did it with mage and only dropped 2 minions, mana wyrm and flamewalker and buddy conceded right after lol. Took my pack havent played brawl since. I really hope that was you :p lol @op
Mages are not meant to be able to buff their minions like they are in the tavern brawl right now, they are heavily favored to win with the hero power alone.
The first deck i thought of was play Grim Patron. you want to cry about anything have Thaurissan throw down a a few free bananas and unload with 4/4 patrons that you can proc with the rotten ones anyway.
ll you try hard me too weak dick copy cats, you are the coward. You see, a new style of play comes out, and what do you do? Net deck it with the same sjit as everyone else, then gang up and abuse those who want nothing to do with it. Your tiny junk must really drive you to be, "the best that you can be," with all of your amazing me-too wins like all other small junkers. I have made a new deck each day using my own ideas and have had great success. When I got tired of succeeding, my mech mana addict deck crushed mages, then the next day my druid deck again crushed mages. You assume too much. I hate poop smearing sub-70 IQ small junk copy cat try yards that cone in bragging and stroking their kitties about how amazing their genius deck is. I want to play others like me. Want to crush mages, not hard, but I don't want to play them over and over. Your one inch wonder makes me laugh to the point it is tough to concentrate. So grow a pair and make your own deck ot go back to pharming casual or rank 20 with your net decks, cowards!
if only playing matches in which you are favored is fun - sounds like the person must be about 8
also going into this brawl and conceding every time a mage pops up - im sure that 5-10mins will be fun
it's not necessarily about playing favored matches, it's just that repetition is boring.
There's nothing to lose from quitting and not much to gain from winning. Ranked the repetition is fine, since everybody playing hunter mage warrior warlock makes it so if you can counter the meta, you rank up. Here where the only reward is 1 pack and the rest are for fun, playing against the same deck in gross disproportion to the others, even if you counter it and beat it every time it doesn't have any personal value. So, fine to just skip those, fun:time will be higher.
Week 1 was Imba, week 2 is frustration. I now thinks Week 1 is better than week 2.
Not sure if you can blame blizzard for this or just the overall lazy shitty hearthstone community. We've all known for a long time most players are 12 year old griefers who just copy decks and try to farm easy wins as fast as possible to get useless crap like gold heroes.
So can we really blame the devs here?
I think for this first week we should give them a pass, but next week they should have a little more foresight and ban some of the more obvious solutions to their challenges. Flamewaker, antonidas and apprentice is probably the first thing everyone thought of and apparently it's also the best thing you can make by a ridiculous amount.
So again makes you wonder if anyone working there playtested this. Week1 they were definitely asleep at the wheel ( or making monkeys test their decks ). This week? Maybe it's just an experiment to see what people would do.
But likely these guys live in some kind of cloud where all they do is internal testing and they never really look at the general state of their game. That would explain basically everything lol.

Making bananas not a spell would work about as well.
Eh, if you concede against enemies you don't like, that's fine. I once did the same when ladder was bullshit levels of hunter. Better than someone BMing or moaning excessively here....

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

There really doesn't seem to be a counter to it.
It has the best possible early, mid and late game thanks to flamewaker , apprentice and antonidas.
If you banned antonidas at least it might become a little more fair, but that makes it so control deck can't work at all.
But whatevah, just one week.

Dream... But don't sleep.

I thought it was fun to try to build a rogue that might win. Pretty much just Gazlowe + mechs.
Better call the wambulance
