Ok first things first. I've been reading hearthpwn for quite some time but never posted anything and now i would like to thank the community for all the efforts, posts, fun topics, salt threads etc. Much love.
I'll try to explain my concern as brief as i can (although the title pretty much gives it away). I was playing warlock against priest matchup and my opponent stole my Kanrethad Ebonlocke with Shadow Madness. Ok i though, no big deal as the prime version won't ressurect him any demons. But boy was i wrong. He got full value out of prime when he played it even though the card clearly says "Summon 3 friendly demons that died this game" and obviously he played none demons before. The demons ressurected were all played by me during the match. So the question is...is this a bug? Or am i missing something? Why stolen Kanrethad Prime gives value to the opponent while it technically shouldn't?
Thx for replies in advance and sorry for bad english.
I actually wonder about that too, had a similar situation happen when Mage stole my Teron Gorefiend with mirror image, when it died it summoned my dead minions
So, I'm not certain about the Ebonlocke, but I'm 100% certain about the Gorefiend that should be reported, because it's a bug.
Previous experience would suggest the Ebonlocke is a bug as well, but there's a greater than 0 chance it's working as intended, because the language could be parsed to say the demons that are being summoned are friendly, but no specification for having to be friendly at the time of death.
Would be worth an official report to see what's what.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Well that priest surrly knew what he has doing... It is very weird indeed, because when they steal Gul'Dan they don't get any value from the battlecry.
This may be a recent bug as I haven't experienced this and I play Priest. I remember some time ago when managed to play Kanrethad Prime (through Shadow Madness into Kanrethad Ebonlocke) and it just summoned the two Mo'arg Artificer I played before during the same match.
Ok this is getting ridiculous. I've testes this issue with Soul Mirror as well and it keep getting my opponent all my demons after he plays Kanrethad Prime. So the question is how do you report a bug to Blizzard?
It seems to tie the demons to the card itself. For example when you are priest and thought steal a galakrond from their hand you get a copy of the upgraded version. This is since the upgraded version is in your opponent's hand and that's the card you get. That's not a battecry though based on how many times the player has invoked, but rather the card text is dynamic. It's also the case when you copy cards which upgrade each turn. Those are dynamic text. But Kanrethad is a battlecry and its card text is not dynamic. If priest has no friendly demons then I wouldn't think it would work. However, in the case of soul mirror if the demons died first in the soul mirror attack chain then those are friendly demons and the priest would get those.

Yeah, i totally understand the stealing mechanic as you mentioned. But the thing is, NONE demons died for priest and still he ressurected all my demons that died during a match. That's what pisses me off.

are you sure your opponent did not play soul mirror earlier in the game? In that case, this is not a bug.

100% sure. First mirror he plays gives him Prime out of my Ebonlocke and when he plays prime he gets back 3 demons, which i played during the game.

If he played Soul Mirror after you played your prime, then he would have got the 3 demons that your prime summoned also, no? I doubt he killed the 3 minions your prime summoned, and then played Soul Mirror...
I'm not sure about that. I've had enemy priests steal my kanrethad and they didn't resummon my own minions. But I don't think I've seen it with shadow madness.
However Mirror Entity copying Teron Gorefiend is absolutely not a bug; mirror entity triggers and always has triggered after the battlecry, and Teron, just like carnivorous cube, has a deathrattle "Summon these minions" as a buff which mirror entity has no reason not to copy
Not quite THAT game i was talking about in initial post, but here is another one. He resurrected one of his demons and 2 of mine. https://hsreplay.net/replay/nuMsQaFieDxUKNnLNyumkb Shenanagins starts at turn 14.

Thx! I actually made a report and they figured out it is Soul Mirror (played before) that keeps giving my opponent demons. I dunno how i missed it actually. So i guess the problem is solved.

That sounds like a bug to me. Somehow the owner ID of the prime didn't shift to the priest so it was still tracking your demons.

yeah seems bugged to me.
