I love how your first example of a card that is OP is Skeletal Dragon. lol
Please explain how a 4/9 for 7 that gets you a card at the end of turn not op? As it is now, 4/9 alone warrants a 7 cost. add a replenish ability and it should cost 8
Unfortunately, yes the meta sucks. I think galakrond has been one of the worst things for this game. Should be HoF'd for sure imo. Rogue far too powerful with the current minimum of 7 draws into 0 costs, obviously excluding any shadowstep play w Tog. Blackjack is just unbelievably overpowered, a targeted freezing trap for 1 less?
At D5+ dh is about 25-30% and rogue is about 15%, that's quite a high percentage, according to hsreplay premium. Dh understandable because it's new. I think Altruis should not hit face and the warglaives should be nerfed to two attacks per turn at most?
Just some of my thoughts, not that they matter.
Playing from the beginning it is my opinion that hero cards in general have been bad for the game and are either useless or meta breaking. Lich Jaina? Build a beast? Dr Boom? Any cards that create instant board swings and/or infinite value in a single card are unhealthy for interactive game. No individual card should have the ability to win a game with nothing else, from a lost state no less.
But the devs seems to think that's what this game is about. And put more and more of it in. So you ether play a casino style deck that has near infinite outcomes or play an agro/tempo deck to get consistent wins before the RNG fest wrecks you. This is also why control decks have no space in this meta, not enough tools to deal with agro and value in one deck and get wrecked by the slower RNG decks with even more ridiculous value.
All in all, it's not a very fun meta. So I just play the decks I enjoy and don't worry about it.
I completely agree with you, 100%. It's truly a shame because the physics/engine of hearthstone trumps LOR, MTG, etc... but the management of the game itself and the creation of some card concepts are absolutely abysmal. Breaks my heart because this game could be far more fantastic as a whole than its current state. If they were truly intelligent and less worried about $ and more about perfecting the game itself, they would have added all three new classes at once [monk, Dh, dk] so that instead of 80% of the community grinding DH it would at the very least be split amongst 3 new classes.
How about a deck size increase?
How about custom games w friends? The ability to alter rules, health pools, HPs.... like a forge or creative mode sorta.
Tournament mode? Custom or ranked online?
How about literally anything more than they have been doing? Especially considering it took them 6 years to add a decent new mode to the game [bgs] and outright admitted it took them 6 months to design....

can’t tell if this is a joke or not, but Skeletal Dragon is incredibly far from OP
It's not OP per se, but its definetly a Ysera powercreep. Make Ysera 8 Mana so it becomes more viable, some of those old Dragons need to get a bit of a "facelift" to be still competetive for modern HS. (Ysera, Onyxia, Nozdormu, Deathwing)
Skeletal Dragon is actually way overtuned. It should cost one more mana, or not have taunt. Compare this card's value to cards available to other classes, and you see it's just not fair. The only reason it's not played that much right now because the meta is too aggro. If the meta were to slow down (it won't because T5 has their ass way up DH and Rogue's ass), the card would be completely bonkers.
For me personally, the game is shit right now. None of the decks I like to play are viable. My opinion is heavily biased, but that's just my opinion man.
Skeletal Dragon is actually way overtuned. It should cost one more mana, or not have taunt. Compare this card's value to cards available to other classes, and you see it's just not fair.
If we compare it to only 7-mana class minions from the same set, Skeletal Dragon wouldn't even be top two. Priestess of Fury and Bloodboil Brute say hello. So yeah, it's absolutely in line with what other classes are getting. It's a power creep on Ysera like stated above, sure, but that card was already miles too slow to see play anyway.
I guess some people just don't want priest, a notoriously bad class in HS history, to have any good cards? And I don't really play much priest.
Why would you compare it to minions from the same set? Compare it to minions from the same rotations, or game....
And when we compare pure value (like i did in my comment), the dragon is still the strongest. I think you underestimate the value of adding a random dragon to your hand, maybe even two. And value is what a priest is usually looking for.
I never said the card is OP. I never said priest can't have good cards. The only mistake I might have made is use the words "way overtuned", i'll correct it to "overtuned".
I can compare it to how many cards you'd like - the point was that even if I narrow it down to that, the card doesn't come out as unfair. Compared to what other classes have in rotation right now, Skeletal Dragon is blatantly, obviously not unfair.
It's lots of value, yes. It's also very slow. And if a slow 7-mana minion doesn't generate a lot of value, it will never see play in a game that is still mostly about tempo.
If it sticks for turn after turn, sure, it can feel like you're correct. But that's not the reality of Hearthstone, where minions rarely live for more than a turn - if this card sticks for your opponent for a several turns, you're already losing...
If I had to make a list of standard cards right now, based on strength/nerfability, this card probably doesn't make the top 50. That's my opinion.
If you think priest is historically bad, you haven't played HS very long...
Agro priest, dragon priest, combo priest, quest priest, Maly priest, big priest, ressurect priest and Machine gun priest all want words with you. And even then priest has never been out of the meta like other classes, even though it wasn't T1 or S tier sometimes.
Forgot Nzoth priest!
If you compare skeletal dragon on a vanilla level in a bubble, it's a very strong card. However, as some have mentioned it's by and far not the most powerful 7mana drop in the current expansion. But that lends itself to the unbalanced meta argument. The fact that skeletal dragon is NOT considered strong to OP because there's even more powerful cards just supports the argument of power creep. And this is the first expansion in the rotation this year, how does Blizzard even make the next 2 releases relevant without making absolutely broken cards.
Skeletal dragon being included completely removes all validity to this complaint. If you are honestly complaining about a card that is basically only played if generated off of another card, you will complain about literally anything.
Big priest and machine gun priest were great. Dragon priest was good in the Gadgetzan meta. Other than that - Maly and combo have never been good, just viable enough to see play IMO. Quest priest has never not been average/meme in standard (either quest). And aggro priest? Really?
Priest's basic and classic sets are universally considered one of, if not the worst in HS. Hence the recent rework. And the class most definitely has dropped out of the meta for several stretches, like other classes with bad basic/classic sets like shaman.
I agree that good priest decks have often been toxic, like the two decks I mentioned first, and so they've stuck with us. But for the most of my time in HS, which is right after Whispers of the Old Gods dropped, priest has been bad.
I've been a Wild player for years because I've always felt like Standard was boring and dull but now Standard is basically as much a clown fiesta as Wild so I play Standard instead, decks generate wayyyy too much value and tempo with broken cards, especially highlander and Gala decks so pretty much 75% of the meta.
Priestress is totally OP one of the op cards if played on turn 5 many classes have no way of dealing with 7 HP, and having her for 2 turns is gg Def need to decrease life here, cannot biggamehunter her, sure u need to sheep or frog her but again
A gets nerfed you’ll complain about B.
B gets nerfed you’ll complain about C.
C gets nerfed you’ll complain about D.
And this trend continues through the entire alphabet until you get to Z, a new expansion comes out, and the cycle starts anew back at A.
Every player has 3 choices:
1. Complain endlessly yet continue to play fueled by bitterness and rage about how bad you think the balance team is.
2. Quit playing because you won’t ever be satisfied having this mindset.
3. Accept the state of the game, adapt, and overcome.
Egg warrior is such a perfect example. A flawless one in fact to the testament that people need to give the meta a single second to settle before witch hunting a class. It does incredible against DH, and the deck didn’t even come about until after nerfs had arrived.
Just because your homebrew paladin is losing to demon hunter doesn’t mean the class is too overpowered.
And on a final note, why do SO many of you call for nerfs on the strong instead of calling for buffs on the weak?
I love how your first example of a card that is OP is Skeletal Dragon. lol

I don't understand what your problem is. For 7 Mana a stat-total of 14 would just be vanilla, so a plain 4/10 for 7 Mana would be barely interesting. Add taunt and the "add a card" effect and you get something viable. As this is of course above common Level, the card is epic. So absolutely nothing OP there...
Obviously the card is not OP, but it's sometimes overwhelming (after resurrect ) and also there is the impression that it's "tuned" by Blizzard to generate broken legendary Dragons like Dragon Queen or the 10 mana mage dragon.

4/9 is 6.5 Mana and not 7.

Lets all at least agree on one fact - dragons should not be skeletons so HOF this card
Skeletal Dragon is only a pain because, like with all complaints about priest, rez with reborn exists
