What a previous poster said about learning the other decks in play and understanding your deck more to know what moves to make when against different opponents is solid advice. I've been watching legend players streaming on Twitch quite a bit and the biggest difference between themselves and myself (for example) is simply the fact they are able to know what cards and moves their opponent are likely to make, and they play around it. If you are prepared for what your opponent is going to play you will make the most favourable moves. Especially down the road, because you need to plan several turns ahead.
With a deck like the one you're playing it sounds like this is even more important than ever. The less effective a deck is (i.e., the lower tier it is) the better you have to be in order to play competitively. This is why the "cancer" decks like Aggro Shaman and Pirate Warrior are popular, they do not require much strategic thinking compared to say Reno Mage or Renolock, and they use strong cards that work well against a variety of decks. You really have to ask yourself what your objective is and what you are willing to do to get there.
If I can make it to rank 10 with an 'all girl' hunter tempo deck, then I'm sorry but, yes, it is very much to do with your 'skillz'. Players never think they are playing badly, because if they could spot the mistakes, they wouldn't be making them repeatedly....right?
HAHA im only playing. But in all seriousness as little of skill gap this game may seem to have, just making one to two non optimal plays, can be the difference of 5 even 10 percent win rates. Alot of this optimal game knowledge is surprisingly gained through experience. I imagine most people don't make obvious mistakes but with any deck comes many micro decisions which effect the outcome. Another thing is netdecking. Just because you copy a high skilled players deck doesn't mean you also gain all the experience that person has had with the deck. Its just something to think about. I wish you luck in getting past rank 15 and don't give up so quickly :D
