Every time I play a new season I get a winning streak to 15 and then hit a wall. It happens every single season and quite often it's 15 and 4 stars. I feel like I'm cursed to never get past this rank. I'm literally starting to lose my shit because it just keeps happening over and over again. Why can't I get past this fucking rank. It's hardly skill related, it's all bad draws and bullshit matchups. Does anyone experience a similar problem? Are all the good players at 15 and above or something? I'm very close to just playing a different game, it's fucking ridiculous.
You know that all the good players are at lower ranks at the start of a new season? What decks are you playing? Getting past rank 15 is not that hard. Maybe you make too many mistakes. Give us some info on your decks and what you lose against.
Zetalots control priest, replacing thought steal with fel orc shaman.
Last 2 games I lost to pirate warrior (terrible draw) then pirate rogue (massive buff + conceal)
Priest is a hard class to maneuver right to the win condition at the end. Not everyone could do it right, I'm not saying you can't, but if you gonna stick to play Priest (esp that Control Priest is not the most viable deck currently), expect to spend lots and lots of time to know your own deck and other meta decks to make your move right. It will be more losses than wins on ladder, but hey, no pain no gain.

Thanks for actual advice, not just "ur bad, git gud".
I find this deck easier to use than Dragon Priest. That deck annoys me, if you don't play on curve ur fucked and I never draw wyrmrest at start of game.
Zetalots deck is very imaginative and you can do a lot of different combination which is what I like. I've taken over games with circle and wild pyro, it's ridiculous
Nah you re just a shitty player .. not becouse of ''bad draws'' , '' bad matchup'' .... start using a simple deck like mid shaman or renolock (that is not '''difficult'''' as peope say) and play it for a lot of games until you really understeand it.
Another important thing is knowing the meta , when you re facing an oppo you should know every card of his deck and what he could play so you can play around it.
Last thing why you play priest ? You know that you re not a good player and you use the 'less pilotated' class of the game , also one of the worst class in standard except for dragon archetype.
Hope i helped you , i suggest you to switch to wild where you have more fun laddering and you find a lot of cool weird stuff, people just chill more and dont play always t1 aggros.. so the meta is slower and priest is fuckin T1 (if you love to play it as me you ll never go back standard).
uh OP can't Inb4.... thats like internet 101 And its 100% skill related. If you play a deck with consistency problems it is highly unlikely to get to the upper echelons of the ladder. If you are interested in trying an experiment make a net deck version of pirate warrior and see how high you can get. If you cant break past 15 with pirate warrior you should probably consider that you aren't playing it right. Also consider that to breach the +15 rungs, you need to play more than a few games. High level players are all creepy nerds with awful skin who have no people skills (except firebat). I would suggest dedicating your life to hearthstone to achieve your goals
I'm assuming you got the main reasons for your problem from the others: Get a better deck and become a better player.
But if you really just wanna get rank 14-12, then theres something else:
You dont play enough. Any shit deck can make it to rank 10 with a lucky streak. Play more. Dont write in forums and get mad, dont get upset or too happy when winning, just play play play.

Couldn't aggre more, my friend just started playing half a year ago, the second month he got rank 10 without using any money on the game. He just has a huge understanding of the game cuz he is a former magic player that won a lot of turnaments. Skills can take you very far!
this is not true.
any shit deck can make it to rank 5 easily !!! rank 10 is not even worth to mention to be honest..

Right there is your problem, priest isn´t really favored in this meta.
Exactly, most of all a control priest deck. If you consider ranking with priest better go for Dragon priest, renopriest. Those two seem viable in my opinion even with the aggro decks like pirate warrior / shaman. Plus as you mentioned earlier, if you get bad curve with dragon priest you might need to make some changes perhaps.
rank 25-15 you will also find a bunch of new players or not so fully skillful, so because you do good with a deck there doesnt mean it will any further. Try the decks on hearthpwn, and if that doesnt help you need to read some guides.
(Playing) skill is overrated. Climbing the ladder takes two ingredients: 1) Tier 1 Netdeck and 2) time.
I had the some problem as you, for months was stuck at rank 13-15 playing my own decks. I thought maybe I was just bad, so I tried one month using a Netdeck mid-range shaman (was top deck at the time) and I climbed to rank 5 in less than a week. That was enough to confirm it for me. Personally I'd rather hover around rank 10 playing something interesting of my own design than grind a netdeck to legend. To each their own.

You're actually into the top 25% of players once you pass rank 15, believe it or not. There will be bottle necks as players all rush to ladder up. If it bothers you so much - take a break, you'll come back fresher. No point playing when it isn't fun.

Saying that it's never your fault that you're losing and that it's bad draws just proves you're horrible at this game.

just dont play ranked after that if u dont enjoy it.. I personally play ranked just for lulz with random decks and play till its quite playable.
Casual is good enough for me , there i can make some quests and have fun :D
You can't pass rank 15 because you are playing a rank 15 deck.
