Come on man, take it easier on them! Imagine the mental pressure, disputing a prize of 250k with all that insane RNG going on! I gotta say it was the most fun I ever had watching a HS tournment! Rafaam is so crazy and an awesome addition to Warlock. Control shaman also very fun!
It is very easy to call plays for missplays when you can see both players hands. But you have to keep in mind that they can not see each other hands, so they have to evaluate risk based on what they think the opponent is holding and not holding.
Another major factor you have to keep in mind is that both where standing at the finish line of a very long road through qualification and then finally through the tournament. So they where most likely very nervous.
Yeah except that it is easy to scream "MISPLAY!" when you have perfect information as the viewer.
Also a play is not a misplay if two turns later it turns out that another play would have been better if your opponent's cards were different. You cannot play around everything.
Lets play a game, how many missplays can you find from the clown fiesta of a HCT final match? hunterace vs viper. Just the amount. Let's see who finds the most.
I have found so far:
Hunterace: 1 (2 if you count him not playing around random azalinas but that's humanely impossible)
Viper: a WHOPPING 5 missplays. Lol. I have never seen so many missplays in the final match of a tournament. Ever.
Some of the missplays actually decided the match for hunterace, sadly. If both had played perfectly, Viper would have always won that match! But it was maybe the hardest game in the tournament, i'll give Viper that.

5 misplays by Viper?? Which ones exactly? He did a great job throughout the series. And I am sure he didn't misplay 5 times, some of which cost him the game.
Playing second 1-1 stealth minion into the fire trap definitely was a mistake by Viper. He did not know what the secret is, but assuming the worst case - if it was a fire trap then the second stealth minion would guarantee him lethal next turn and since hunterace had to play burlglar on the previous turn to have a chance to an out suggests that he had no taunts / fan of knives alternatives.
.
this thread is pointless if you don't point out what you consider as a missplay. also consider he didn't have as much information as you as a viewer.
Pointless thread
So what's your point, exactly? He still made it to the finals and for good reason too.
This thread is a missplay

Congratulations to Hunterace, he was the bestest player!
If u want a discussion, point out which plays exactly do you consider as missplays -_-
Missplay can only be defined in front of evidence in the eyes of the Player (and his knowledge of the opponent's deck).
NOT from the spectator's point of view, who's seeing BOTH hands at the same time.
C'mon...

Without a source one can claim anything.
Nope.

lol close this thread
This thread is important and both players surely made mistakes. They are not supossed to make any so that they increase their winrate by that 0.1%.
I ve heard so many times that any tournament taken place in Asia is a missplayfiesta, here we go again
