Just like the title says Brann Bonzebeard needs to be HoF before the rotation or go back to wild. This card single handedly ruins fun games. The combos that currently exist in standard absurdly amplified by Brann when they're already good on their own. Instead of taking care of the real problem, especially when it comes to the druid combo, they nerfed a brand new card instead of Brann which seems to go against logic of promoting a new expansion. Since the return of the original league of explorers legendary cards to the core set I would say there was probably just as much excitement to have Reno come back as there was for Brann if not more. Now Reno is nearly unplayable because not only can your opponent burst down from hand but in druids case they also create a huge board so even if you didn't get OTK'd you'd likely get killed after your next turn even if you healed full. Cards like Brann make it very hard for people to want to continue playing when rotation is still 4 months away. Ultimately i think Team 5 knows the playerbase is sick of Brann and that he doesn't fit the modern Hearthstone mold.
Lol yet ANOTHER thread about how Brann needs to go. Play aggro or tech against it. These constant new threads about Brann need to stop. There is a Salt Thread for you OP to post about Brann.
Clearly, this thread is deeply salt fuelled but OP isn't really wrong either. I've been abusing Shockspitter Hunter (because if you're going to play ladder you need to basically be more obnoxious than your opponent) and it enables some real nonsense and doesn't really feel like it belongs in what a new meta should represent. The Renethal nerf really dumped on control decks hard and burst from hand has risen strongly from it and Brann does a lot of heavy lifting.
I'm of the opinion that Brann should have probably been looked at once they decided to nerf Renethal because it's made it way more viable than it should be.
brann is too strong for standard, as showcased by denathrius, shockspitter, anub and many more broken interactions that are too high power level for standard, but not for wild, remove brann from standard and we could of kept our decent wild cards
Brann is not being played in Quest DH, Miracle Rogue, Frost DK or Frost Mage, the 4 strongest decks atm. If anything, it is one of the few strong cards available to players refusing to play these decks. How ppl are still complaining about Brann when running minions is becoming a liability (thanks Sinful Brand) is beyond me.

Just because other decks are also broken doesnt mean Brann isn't. Druid/Brann has basically removed all control decks from viability. Also - isn't it weird how non-battlecry decks don't run a minion which doubles battlecries..../s. I think he might be used in Quest DH if you could consistantly get either of them discounted, but you can't. He would also push the minion count up beyond 3 which would make scythe less consistant.
tl;dr Brann doesn't need to be included in all decks to be OP. OP decks do not need to include Brann.

Read the last VS report dude, your opinion is outdated. Battlecry abuse is now the only way most minion based decks can compete with spell burn ones, which are heavily opressing the meta after the death of Renathal. Right now Brann is not the problem, hes the SOLUTION. A sign of how degenerate the meta has become? Absolutely, but even poison can be used as remedy, and rn this is one such case.

Didn't you read the bit that said both things can be true? Just because there's oppresive "from hand" burn, doesnt mean that Brann is the solution. Maybe (and just hear me out) there shouldn't be oppresive "from hand" burn OR Brann...
"How can anyone complain about this one thing that beats them when there's this other thing that beats me?!"
Everyone has a most-hated card or archetype, and they always will. It's the nature of the game. There's no point in saying something "needs to go," because it will just be replaced by the next-worst thing. That's why things get nerfed instead of removed altogether.

It's not about a most hated card or archetpye it's about a card that was printed and released 7 years ago when the game didn't have anything close to the battlecry minions we have now. was it powerful then? sure, but bringing this card back does not work in modern hearthstone. We shouldn't need to wait until rotation to enjoy the cards of this expansion. I thought maybe for a second Team 5 had things figured out when they re-released the KoFT cards. Specifically Gnomeferatu with warlock so there would be a true potential counter class to combo decks but those cards were only temporary

I think this is the wrong attitude, and it is possible for some things to be vastly overpowered (and un-fun) compared to others.
If people are dying from full health with nothing on the board to a 10 mana, multi card combo while playing a greedy control deck, then I think this is a valid argument. As it stands you can die to a Brann combo on turn 6 with a full board (see my other posts if you think this isn't true)
The game should (imo) be less extreme; less draw, less mana cheat, less consistency. It shouldn't be "I counter your OTK "spells from hand burn death" with my "double Brann minion OTK battlecry death" because I got there first. Nor should it be "im playing X class which automatically beats Y class". Neither of these things should exist as both are fundamentally un-interactive and un-fun.
OTK's from hand should be rare, not the only viable deck strategy (which is pretty much where we stand at the moment).
The game has become like a 2 player solitiare. Collect your pieces and go - ignore the other player (as best you can). Resources dont really matter (you can always cheaply draw or discover more), mana often doest matter either. Brann facilitates one side of this problematic environment and should be removed or changed (imo). The Dev's obviously need to think about the other side and imo cheap draw, copy and discover are the problematic tools.
As to your last point - nerfing and removing can be viewed as essentially the same thing. You can easily nerf something to the point where you essentially removed it. Look at what they did with Warsong Commander (although arguably he now has some uses even if he isn't used).
p.s. Brann isn't the only problem right now - there are plenty more problematic cards/decks. That said, Brann is a problem.

I was hoping this expansion would get it rotated, but looks like qe need to wait four months.
