Getting back into the game after a long break. The Jailer is starting to become a pet card of mine where I am trying to figure out ways to get taunts up within the same turn as I play him. I had a couple of turn where my opponent didn't attack face and they were starting to run out of steam. I was feeling pretty good since I was at 18 health and had little fatigue damage then out of no where I started to get hit in face even though I had taunts up. I really don't see what allowed this from the screen shot.
Immune and Taunt don't work at the same time. It's either or. Same thing as Stealth and Taunt, basically. Those also mean Taunt stops working until you lose Stealth. Same here.

Imagine how broken The Jailer would be if you couldn't get past the taunts.

Standard, Wild, and Classic player.
Losing to Sire Denathrius makes me not want to play this game anymore. The Sire Denathrius nerf makes me want to play this game again. Losing to Deathrattle Rogue makes me not want to play this game anymore. The Prince Renathal nerf makes me not want to play this game anymore.
Taunt is "if your opponent attacks, they must attack minions with taunt before face/minions without taunt if able".
Immune minions can't be attacked.
Since your opponent is unable to attack the minions with taunt, it just doesn't do anything and they can attack freely.
Wow. Great explanation. I’ll be honest - I’ve been playing since GvG and had no idea that this is how that worked. Thanks for the clarification!
It's never really been an issue before as there were very few immune cards, and the ones there were didn't see much play. Raid Boss Onyxia is the only one I can think of and her immunity is pretty temporary.
Don't feel bad - this falls into yet another one of the "you just have to do it to know" mechanics in Hearthstone. It makes sense from a play perspective (not being able to attack at all while the taunt minion is alive) but none at all from a mechanics perspective - why can't a big taunty boy be immune?
