Need opinion from a person who played Chilmaw in his/her dragon deck? Does it really change your percentage even a bit? I don't have chilmaw, but if it's really that effective then I will make one.
Also due to it's tempoish nature, We can only include 2 dragon legendaries in a GP deck. SO which one should be essential?
P.S: among those options of my poll I have everyone of them apart from Chilmaw
You'll find lots of opinions on Chillmaw here and elsewhere. On paper she's supposed to be very good versus board spam, and I was optimistic when I got her (my 1st TGT legendary at release), but whenever I play her there's a silence coming, or some forced trades, then a wipe of an empty board, and new minions coming. The tempo swing rarely proves successful. You usually play her alone on your side of the board & you expect a lot from a 6 mana legendary, but letdowns happen more often. Plus, the more expensive a taunt is, the more risky it proves to be... cheap ones are far less risky as a mana investment, in my opinion.
She was also supposed to be a charging Patrons counter at TGT release, but that is not a danger anymore (and back then she didn't work that well for me in that capacity, either). I would just run another dragon in her mana spot - perhaps a Dragonkin Sorcerer with an extra buff, or Confessor Paletress (not a dragon but a very fun option nevertheless). Bottom line from me: try Chillmaw if you're lucky enough to find her, but don't craft her.
Chillmaw is really good againts druids, as a combo-stopper. Just play Twilights or Brann or other owerfull minion at first, let them be silenced by keepers and chillmaw can secure you easily.
And, as mentioned above, she is very effective againts aggro
Chillmaw won me plenty of games right upon her release when Patron was a thing. I have since taken her out, as she did not really help against Secret Paladin and silence effects are now so commonplace.
Chillmaw is a solid card, but very dependent on the prevailing meta, so she is really a tech card and not a staple. Then again, maybe the second big legendary in Dragon Priest is always a tech card? In that case, there is no one definite answer to your question. I'm currently experimenting with Alexstrasza to counter Reno decks, but I'm not yet sold on her either.
I don't have it, but when I see it played against me it rarely does anything worthwhile... they'd usually win without in a good spot, and lose with it in a tight spot. I play mainly mid-range pally, CW, handlock variations and tempo mage.
It's not that the card is bad, it isn't - but there are better ones to take its spot imo.
Against zoo or if you are losing board control fast, he can be a lifesaver. I ran him in my dragon deck, but have replaced him for Paltress. I already had Chromaggus and Ysera as the other end game dragons. Chromaggus is a lot of fun, especially when you draw Paltress, Vol'jin, etc
Why "obviously" better than Dragonkin? As mentioned, now that the initial TGT release hype dust has settled, most players are very lukewarm towards her (that's the majority of opinions I've seen going around in fora and streams, too). Plus, Faerie Dragon has advantages for the early game (it can't be spell or hero power-targeted for removal) as well as the late (it activates synergies). I've included it in dragon decks with good results.
Also, as mentioned again, Alex can be useful if you are aiming for a lethal combo at the end & focus purely on control earlier, as a counter to Reno decks, and as an emergency heal with an extra 8/8 (for example towards face hunters).
I find that I am able to keep board control so well with dragon priest that, more often than not, I don't want 3 dmg to all minions (my minions). I still run it, but am considering pulling it.
I run Nefarian for card advantage and the element of surprise. If he get's BGHed, no big deal.
Chromag is nice, but you aren't guaranteed an extra card unless you PW:S.
Between Twilight Dragons, Wyrmrest Argent, Northshire Cleric, Vol'jin, and whatever I stick Velen's Chosen on, I find that most enemy decks don't have silences left by the time I play Chillmaw. Or they've been saving them and Chillmaw isn't necessary because I was left to play with all my tools for so long that he acts as a synergizer for Technician, Argent, and Twilight. Even if he is silenced, I get a 6/6 they still have to deal with, and if I'm in a crummy enough situation that they can silence him and win in the same turn, none of the other dragons would've saved me either.
But no, he's not a make or break card for DP, and can easily be replaced by Alex or Nefarian. I personally don't think Chrom is such a good dragon for DP, as I find it hard to get real value out of his ability, but there is something to be said for him only being an 8-drop instead of 9 and being immune to BGH. Of course the same can be said for Chillmaw. Personally I'd go Nefarian if you already have him, and I'd put Chillmaw in when you get him naturally. He's been great for me, but there's better legendaries for the dust.
It's not bad but ususally doesn't do too much. Chromaggus is slower but might be better sometimes. Also keep in mind that he's 8 mana. I used to run Boom and combinations of dragons a long time ago, currently run Chillmaw.
I've played around with Alex as a counter to Reno, and while she's saved my ass at least a few times, whenever I had her and the opponent doesn't run Reno, Ive found that I couldn't use her because by the time I get to turn 9, I'd have already taken their health down past 15
That's a condition that happens with every deck that includes Alex. If players find a secure way to deal damage earlier than using a lethal combo enabler such as Alex, they just take it as they should. The objective is always to win as soon as you can...
Having said that, the proper thing to do is always look at the majority of your matchups and tweak your deck accordingly. So if you see fewer Renos, see that you don't need help in bringing the opponent's hp down to a reasonable level, or need less emergency healing help with an 8/8, then giving Alex's place to another big minion is self-evident.

In my dragon deck, I run both Nefarian and Dr. Boom. They are very agressive and Nefarian won me several games.
Not all who wander are lost.
