I'm currently 4-1 against DH, so clearly there is a way.
If they already have Aldrachi on the board, the 8 atk spell in their hand, double Slices, Metamorphosis already in play, and trigger their HP, that is exactly 20. Previously aggro decks have done triple Leroy for 18, Force of Nature + Savage Roar is 15, Bloodlust is up to 21. Burst damage is not that unusual.
And the best thing is, he can't spread it out, or play anything else the turn he does it, which means literally all you need to do is drop a Khartut or freeze his face and you win because he's out of cards. One of my wins I literally decked out the DH.
And they don't have any more heals than Priest or Warrior do, unless they want to waste that 20 damage healing themselves. Normally they'd get about 20-25 heals, back when Spectral Cutlass Rogue existed I was getting upwards of 50 points a game. Run an Ooze. Or Harrison.
Playing 3 or 4 games that you lost because you dont know their cards yet doesn't make them OP. There's a learning curve. They're definitely strong, but it's way too early to say whether they are OP or not.
The issue isn't that they have more heals than Priest, or bigger combos than aggro decks in previous metas. It's that they currently have the most powerful card draw in the game, they bypass taunts, they have great healing in their aggro decks, they have fantastic board removal, and they have insanely strong midrange cards.
With literally EVERY OTHER CLASS, they trade off their healing and card draw for damage, or they trade off their burst for sustain. Demon Hunters have ALL OF IT. They're currently the only class in the game who can draw out their entire deck by turn 8, while also controlling the board.
And FYI, all of those 20+ damage combos were nerfed. Force of Nature was reworked, Leeroy was put into hall of fame, Shamans haven't had ANYTHING to pair with Bloodlust for a long time. No idea why you're bringing them up as if they're Blizzard's greatest achievements in balance.
The class will 100% be nerfed in the next two weeks. Every other class went through a LOT of balance iterations in the beta, and Demon Hunter should go through the same iterations. For example, who at Blizzard decided to print the set with SIX different card draws? 3 of them are 1/2 cost cycle cards (effectively making Demon Hunter decks 24 cards in size), while THREE of them are 2+ multidraw cards.
Leeroy wasn't HoFed for six years. And Lust is literally the game winner that you pull off Zephrys 50% of the time. In any case you're missing the point, which ia that DH burst is not any worse than any other burst we've had before.
Demon Hunter's weakness is that they have to use face for everything. It's like Rogue, except they don't keep the weapon and they have a lot more "give your hero attack" shit. To beat them, all you have to do is exploit that.
They don't have great healing, they have okay healing at best.
So they have solid burst. They have solid heals. And they have solid control. But they don't have exceptional anything except card draw, which means the strategy is to outvalue them.
When the big boi is gonna do his mega Avenging Wrath, I drop about 8 health worth of minions to soak then Fireball him before he gets an attack off. With the shivarra (which is just a slightly powercreeped Blazecaller that's random), save Polymorph for it. When they're ready to chunk me for 15, throw down a Khartut or Bone Wraith or other big taunt, or just Frostbolt to face.
It really isn't that hard. And my point is proven by the fact that every Demon Hunter deck has had its winrate drop by 4-5 points overnight, and no doubt will stabilize around having the best deck 55-58ish by the end of the week.
Yeah, Demon Hunter is beyond insane. It's laughable, Battlefiend needs to be 2Mana, never mind 1 less attack. Aldrachi Warblades Easily needs to lose 1Durability, or Cost 5. And as for Priestess of Fury, who the fuck thought that was a balanced and fair Card?
Just played my first game with DH against Priest. He had every early removal (Breath Holy Nova), did even get a Coilfang Warlord out of Mind Vision on 4, a Sandhoof Waterbearer on 5 and still lost the game before we got to 10 Mana. It's just fucking insane how DH can turn the tables in one turn.
Skull of Guldan is just crazy good, how this card got through the testing is beyond me
Honestly, you can't say people shouldn't be complaining. People paid actual money for this game and expect it to be at least remotely fun when they can finally play it. The outcry for nerfs and blizzard's balancing team being thrown to the curb is completely justified.
Whenever a AAA game launches anything that is this broken, it needs to be heard. And blizzard knew damn well what they were doing when they released demon hunter. They were just too lazy to fix it. This is the final straw for me
Been trying control galakrond warlock and it performs well against DH. Sac pac and plague of flames destroy DH. But, against any other class DH is just busted.
Totally broken, the game is unplayable at this moment.
Gays RELAX. He will be nerfed soon.
All of his cards that draw SHOULD cost 1 more.
Battlefield should have 1 attack
I will personally play DH and enjoy it until it gets nerfed or play some hard counter.
RELAX... btw pirate warrior back then was kinda the same shit
reminds me of that other game they make where people pick stuff up off the ground all day.
they added DH to it and there was more stuff of the ground than ever. we were picking stuff up for weeks son!

The salt levels are higher than the Dead Sea.
Release the Kraken!
There is no need to mana nerf . Dh cards only need lil tweaks . I dont wanna death patch for dh .
Yeah, the expansion isn't out a day and people are already complaining. Is that how you act in real life too, folks?
Always expect the unexpectable!
Haven't lost a single game against DH yet with Spell Mage
They will nerf it. Calm down. Let the kiddos get their wins and play boring DH vs DH matches.
I’ve gone 7-1 against DH with Spell Mage... they wipe the floor with them.
I also have a 4-0 against DH with spell Mage. If you manage to freeze their face and summon the 2 elementals, it's game over

Guess the creep is getting close to creeper.

Currently 4-0 versus DH with this deck:

In the mean time I also managed to defeat some kind of Hand Warlock with it.

Remember cancer aggro decks? Well, it's a class now. Feeling old yet?
Do you guys not understand how statistics work? It's a new class. Tons of people are playing it because it's exciting. 70% win rate is meaningless.
If everyone on ladder was playing Demon Hunter, it would have 100% win rate. It's not complicated.
troll? it would have 50% winrate -_-...
