... but I have this incredibly strong feeling that the Mech'Thun card is for Warlock for some reason.
We haven't seen the Warlock Legendary Minion OR Spell. Something big is coming. It feels strange to think that this is the card for Warlock, considering Warlock is dealing in the Demonic this expansion (as usual). Maybe we'll see both Warlock Legendaries during the reveal stream?
If Mech'Thun is in Warlock, is there a chance that it'll have something to do with all the Demons that died during that game? I feel like Mech'Thun could even be just part of the portrait, and someone is using the mechanized Old God as a battery of some kind to increase their power. The card Demonic Project has shown us that there is some tech coming up. Could Mech'Thun even possibly destroy Mech minions?
Mech'Thun is bothering me so much right now, I'm running a trillion damned assumptions through my head, and none of them confirm anything except I have really bad anxiety.
I do think something big is coming for Warlock. We have only seen like 3 cards I think. However, I'm not so optimistic about "Mech'Thun". The picture may be misleading.

That's what I mean, about someone using Mech'Thun as a battery or some kind of device to increase their own power. It's quite possible that Mech'Thun, at least the portrait, is art for a Warlock card. I'm optimistic, but wouldn't be disappointed if it were a Neutral card. We haven't seen many Neutral Legendaries, so who knows. It's probably obvious as hell that this is a Neutral Legendary, but who knows.
Most pictures of the reveal are zoomed in on a minor aspect of the card's art. Mech'Thun might not actually exist, for all we know.
Still, given how little cards Warlock has had revealed so far, the card could very well belong to it.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
It won't be a Mec'thun or anything like that. Judging from the size of the revealed artwork compared to the full artwork on the other, already revealed cards, this eye will be a part of a big mech. It can't be a centerpiece of the artwork, like it is by the original, one and only, C'Thun.
I really hope I am wrong, but I strongly doubt that too :).

Except Blizzard knows exactly what people would think ahead of time by using that portion of the art. Everyone is going to think it's C'Thun, especially since the eye is shaped exactly like the C'Thun eye.
Hmm, they've only revealed 2 out of 10 warlock cards so far, while for other classes it's 5 to 7. Are they hiding a theme that spans multiple cards? The theme of C'Thun is that his arrival is preceded by activity of his followers, so instead of one C'Thun card, we might get several.
As far as I know we still don't know what the Boomsday Project is all about. Summoning C'Thun and trying to bind him in a mech is certainly a project of apocalyptic proportions.
Even wilder speculation: what if the the legendary spell is a quest? The Warlock quest was the least successful, so if they're ever going to do another quest, Warlock would be a logical place to start. And a quest is a goal that you are working towards step by step, similar to how you'd build up C'Thun in WOG.
Or a different take on it: what if it's not Dr. Boom who wants to summon C'Thun, but robots that broke their programming and are plotting behind Boom's back to summon C'Thun in an attempt to defeat Boom? Warlocks were chosen as doing "soul science" and perhaps putting ghosts into the machines caused a robot uprising. Losing control of minions is a common Warlock theme and the most prominent card in that theme, Jaraxxus, was added in a mech version.
Edit: Going completely off the deep end now...
Maybe in a spin on Jaraxxus, Mecha-C'Thun is a minion that, when summoned, replaces your opponent's hero.

I'm really not disappointed by it, I think it is a cool card. Builiding your deck around Mecha'thun and trying to win with it could be a lot of fun. :D

It will be really cool to pull it off, but the deck will most likely have a below-average win rate.

Mech thun better be a neutral mech finisher or I'll be very disappointed.
Wouldn't be surprised if C'Thun appears. We already have Dr. Boom and Jaraxxus. It's like a Hearthstone family reunion!
What ever it is a Cthun version or not we do looking forward for Nzoth like Mech neutral wincon for all class to play
A bit less than 2 hours for the reveal!!!
Oh my f..king God, I can't wait no longer!!!
Please Blizzard, don't f..k this up!!! :( :( :(

I'm thinking magnetic 'cthun on death rattle.
maybe magnetic 2/2 : deathrattle deal damage equal to this mech's power randomly
Maybe it;s the "eye of c'thun" which you latch onto another mech
