If Blizzard can nerf a card like Call of the Wild for a class that needs some overpowered cards to stay relevant in the meta then why can't they do the same for a druid card that is arguably more powerful than Call of the Wild was. I can't be the only one who sees this.
P.S. I know the arguments for nerfing ultimate infestation are getting old at this point but come on Blizzard. You can't be this oblivious to the state of the game and peoples complaints. Cards like Ultimate Infestation and Jade Idol should never have made it through play testing like they did.
Why should they repeat the same mistake twice? If anything they shouldn't listen to the community to avoid another Call of the Wild situation. Sadly they will never revert the nerf, but at least they now how it ended and can avoid it now.

Call of the wild is still perfectly playable.
Which is why it saw no play whatsoever after the nerf. At 9 mana its way too slow for a fast class like Hunter and isn't impactful enough as a comeback tool or finisher.
That is entirely on Hunter's toolkit and the meta, not on the card itself. It has seen play in some reasonably successful hunter builds. But hunter as a class just doesnt have the right tools in the current meta to make it work. Nerfing jade druid can easily be done without hurting the druid class all that much.
Again with the same, UI isn't the problem. Jades are the problem, they have to nerf Jades, UI is fine in any other Druid deck.
UI actually seems made to fit the Quest Druid archetype. If they could change it to make it incompatible with Jades it would be great.
this, this and soooo much this..............
as much as i like Archetypes Jade Idol is a little bit busted with Infestation...however with HoF technology nerfincg cards seems brutal and barbaric nowadays, they could just early HoF Jade Idol and print more powerful 10 mana cards for other classes that have had NONE, i'd even make a statement for making call of the Wild into a 10 Mana card but making it summon 2 copies of each Animal companion.
In my Opinion the Problem is neither Jade Idol (Skulking) nor UI (Aggro should and can devastate it) but Spreading Plague. It's absolute Bonkers. Only Priest has an immediate answer to it (Shadow Word Horror and Mass Silence). Just for Comparison: Doppelgangster costs also 5 Mana and is way worse.
The problem is UI and innervate against control, Spreading Plague against aggro.
For any other class, UI would be very good, but not that crazy, because u can't play it before turn 10. druids, with ramp and innervate, can play it on turn 6, and it's not that rare.
Druids just became handlock, that get 10 mana in turn 6-7, have crazy end game with infinite jades, unless you play and draw the crazy tempo 6 mana 4/6.
and while handlocks pay 10 life for 5 cards, druids get 5 armor, 5/5 and deals 5. so what the point of playing warlock anymore?

Eat grass, Smoke A$$
How could they even print UI for druid after nerfing CotW for hunter? Idiots, nothing I can say more.

The cake is a lie.
Don't worry, they will nerf it.
After three months or so. See The Caverns Below.
Why do you think they won't nerf it?
