So i quickly Realized that Quests arent Actually a good thing to have in the game and heres why
Ive played Magic the gathering and there are some interactions where you can either counter a spell or discard something from their hand which made it an interactive. The problem ive been seeing for the last two days is that some of the Quests are way too easy complete and you cant counter play them whatsoever; i think thats the one thing blizzard keeps fucking up most of the time. A good example of this happening is Jade Decks not having a Counter play to it. There are 4 Quests That are basically uninteractive the shaman, rogue , mage and Hunter are All quests where you just play things from your hand and get an insane Reward for basically doing what you would normally do. The biggest beef i have is with the Rogue quest. Alot of people thought it would be shit on paper but than you realize with all the bounce and Easy play it has its far too consistent. The problem i can see is that Quests cant be counteracted with other than trying to kill them with braindead Aggro, I thought for sure quests would SLOW DOWN the meta but somehow that wasnt the case. I think Blizzard Should Wait about a month and make some minor changes to make it so we dont have to deal with this nonsense for 3-4 months.
Actually all 9 quests are uninteractive. but that doesnt mean the whole deck is.
And its impossible that all 9 classes end up competetive tier1. Aggro meta is denied by taunt warrior btw. so meta will most likely be a midrange meta like always.
Everyone thought meta will be okay and good, but.... We have something worse than pirate warrior, pirate warrior you cant counter! ( Rogue... ) So - Well played :D
Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.
Firstly jade druid "has no counterplay" is an incorrect statement. The have a below 50% winrate and there are specific decks which have great winrates against them. Secondly, quests are somewhat uninteractive in the sense that ur opponent can't stop you from achieving them, however the decks are still very interactive, more so than in the past.
Shaman + hunter quests; play aoe and clear their stuff. Think of them as similar to grim patrons (without the frothing ofc bc theres an example of something that is actually uninteractive). Their rewards are minions, I don't understand how getting extra free minions can be uninteractive?
Mage quest; similar to any freeze mage, renomage or grinder mage from the past. It's obvious when they are about to play their combos so prepare for them and set up taunts or armour etc. If its the antinidos combo then play aggressive, if its the arcane giants w/ alex play dirty rats or armour (both druid and warrior can do this no problem). Not sure why I am telling you this as I play alot of quest mage haha.
Rogue quest; slightly more uninteractive but still more interactive than miracle rogue. Not too hard to beat if u tailor your deck for it. Of course if they get insane draws they win but so do many other decks.
Btw you said there were 5 uninteractive decks and only named 4... would u like to name another? xD
Quests are allowing creativity and multiple decks of the same class. The meta hasn't settled at all yet so this post isn't really discussable to it's full extent until more practice. You may end up being somewhat right, but at the moment all decks are more interactive than they ever have been before. In fact Thijs commented in one of his streams that he likes and finds interesting how decks are playing more zoo-like with more trading and minion combat than previously.
You are Actually wrong and it's time you Realized this, heres why. Because Quests add a 4th archetype to the meta. Now it isn't just paper rock scissors, they've added Spock.

So only thing we need is a lizard and we have perfect meta
On the bright side, it looks like Quests are consistent enough that we may never see another oppresive Jade Golem deck again. They seem so slow now in comparison

Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"
IMO the Rogue Quest is a bit OP if you manage to complete it.

Well, there are now 2 ways to win matchup....
A) Complete quest ( Rogue, Mage, Hunter.... )
B) SMORc ( Zoo, Hunter.... )
Everyone thought meta will be okay and good, but.... We have something worse than pirate warrior, pirate warrior you cant counter! ( Rogue... )

They did slow the Meta. Pirate Warrior would kill me by turn 6, Quest Rogue kills me by turn 7. GG Blizz.
Keep Calm and RAG FACE
Something like.... Control meta.
Aggro is always dominating - It is cheap, easy to play and fast...

Don't mind me, just the UK National Champion.
