Welcome to one of the scariest looking decks I have had the privilege to make.
This is a mixture between the Bloodbloom doom and quest lock, and relies on combos new and old.
For those of you who don't have 16000 dust for this deck, just know that the only necessary cards are Lakkari Sacrifice and Cataclysm.
Mulligan:
keep quest and search for cataclysm always. Other than those, try to find your discardables and the malchezaar imps!
Gameplay:
Tap away to quest completion on turn 4 using cataclysm!
Survive enemy floods with mistress and corrupting mist
(FYI for those who don't know, the illusionists are there to be used as fodder so you don't take damage after playing doom using bloodbloom's mana to health effect. Playing Bloodbloom + Doom without illusionists may be risky.)
This deck uses several board wipes, and yet it can still constantly put out pressure, due to the portal and several other summoning tricks.
This deck has an insane amount of draw when you need it, and not much when you don't want it. The need to tap goes down over time very rapidly.
As for Rin, the First Disciple, she is an "end the game early" win condition. She is amazing vs control decks because she singlehandedly wins the game, and she acts as a stabilizer against aggro decks. if you want, you can even use the Bloodbloom combos on the runes she gives you to speed up the DECKSPLOSION process.
So, at the moment I'm running your current list, with a couple of changes.
I left in the arcane dudes, as they do help with tempo when rin and the seals are in play. I removed both Karakhazams and added back in the imps, and traded one doom for a twisting nether. Testing as I type this. :D
ok
Changed the deck, replacing ineffective cards.
I think with the addition of cho'gall, hooked reaver will work a large amount of the time.
I also thought about cho'gall. I didn't include because I didn't think it needed more of that effect, especially on such an expensive minion. If I try to fit it in, I think it should replace a corrupting mist, and 1 doom should be replaced with a twisting nether, or maybe try to adapt to a playstyle that almost never taps after completing the quest, since having so many guaranteed doom targets can be detrimental, especially since the deck will deal even more damage to itself to get what it needs, and the large amount of increased draw will cause even a little fatigue damage to be very dangerous.
So, the imps don't really serve any purpose in this deck. I've confirmed that the board clear happens before the discard, which means they're really just 1 mana 1/3s.
At this point I'm running defile in place of corrupting mist, and might drop the void terrors. Could you let me know what you have them in there for? Is it just to activate rin? I'd rather run something else in that slot I think.
1. wow that sucks. Cho'gall isn't such a bad idea because of this.
2. The void terrors are anti-polymorph for rin if you are vs control, and also help combine stats from your 3/2s to counter enemy boardclears, and help make space for new minions on your side if you want to clear out your hand. I still haven't had the chance to test anything yet, so not sure how useful it is. what were you thinking in place of it?
3. corrupting mist is meant to be a very inexpensive board clear. It counters things defile doesn't, like an early flappy bird. It does have the downside of not immediately killing. I was also thinking of void terror when I put it in, as you can play it, then play your terror, and you wouldn't lose as many stats from it. Just a tech choice, but now I know malchezaar's imp doesn't work, it could use a better replacement.
thought: Dark pact came out after I first thought of this deck, so I didn't think about it; probably works better than void terror for all functions.
Dude, I lied. Imp does in fact draw off of Cataclysm....sorry!!!!!!!!
lol
Changed name from wild to standard. Whoops, it was standard the whole time!
For sure gonna give this a shot.
Deck built, I'll play it a little and check back in. I have a feeling this deck might want Cho'gall
