Hey guys i wanna share with you my version of tempo rogue, which i find the best one so far and the most stable one. I managed to hit Legend with this deck from bottom of rank 5 in just 2 days. Even though im casual player and usually i play only at weekends, im hiting Legend regulary for few months, co i would consider myself as, at least, not bad player of Hearth Stone.
- Firstable; the deck is pretty much based on Stancifka's Tempo Rogue, (So most credits goes to him) with few changes though.
I was trying to create Keleseth rogue more stable then pirat one, few weaks ago and i was experimenting with some diffrent variants that contained Cairne, flappy birds and shadowblades instead of pirats. Few days later i noticed that Stancifka posted deck pretty similar to mine but he came with some brilliant ideas that i didnt think about, like Corpsetaker package. Even though Stancifka's version was certainly better than mine at the time, I felt like there is still place to improve the decklist. Cairne and Shadowblade are in my opinion really good cards, that should have their place in this deck, also i didnt like some of choices Stancifka made in his list.
- Comparing presented decklist to Stancifkas, we can see few changes.
*Insted of Shaku, the Collector I play second SI:7 Agent - I think Shaku is too slow for the tempo playstyle, and i wanted my list to be more proactive.
*Insted of Edwin VanCleef and Counterfeit Coin Package i play Cairne Bloodhoof and Shadowblade - I tried Edwin but i didnt really like it. Edwin without counterfeit Coin was just dead card in my hand almost every game, also without Edwin, Conterfeit Coin didnt do that much. I didnt play Edwin in pirat version of this deck for the same reason, it usually was just dead card, or was played as a 4/4. If i managed to play it as 6/6 I was actually pretty happy. For those reasons I decided to cut Edwin and without him I didnt find good enough reason to keep counterfeit coin. Also i think Cairne is pretty solid card, becouse it fits in meta very well. Priest have hard time dealing with it becouse of it's 4 atack, also its great counter to all boardclears, and playing Cairne on curve, having bonemare in hand you can be sure you will be able to play your horse next turn. Shadowblade helps a lot in aggro matchups such as Zoolock or evelove shaman, it helps you keeping board controled. In other matchups its just solid flexible card that u always can find use for.
- Mulligan - U basicly look for any 1drop and some 3 drops to fit your mana curve. Prince Keleseth is obviously the best card to keep, but since this deck is doing pretty well even without him I don't recomend to gamble and mulligan hard, just to find this particular card. U simply just dont have to play Keleseth on turn 1/2 to win the game. Against aggro it's prettty good to have Backstab and SI:7 Agent especially if you are starting with coin. Also Shadowblade is really good card to keep. All of those cards helps you controling the board and thats the key to win against aggro matchup. Against cotrol u simply just look for good curve and the deck will do it's job. Your opponent in most cases won't be able to handle your tempo.
- General game plan - Your job is to keep board under your control. Shadowblade, Backstab and SI:7 Agent will help you with that in arly game while Vilespine Slayer will do the job in lategame. Almost any other card in your deck is there to threat the opponent so your task is to make as much damage as possible, as fast as possible, using those cards. ;) Cards like Cobalt Scalebane (immune to Dragonfire Potion ), Cairne Bloodhoof, or Corpsetaker have great survivability, so again it will help u keep some minions on board and have control, as it is key to win the game.
I hope u will find this list usefull, feel free to comment and vote if u liked it.
"*Insted of Shaku, the Collector I play second SI:7 Agent - I think Shaku is too slow for the tempo playstyle, and i wanted my list to be more proactive."
How is SI:7 (card reacting to opposing minions) more proactive than Shaku (stealth threat)?????
Next time, use only words you understand... ;-)
Read the SI:7 agent's ability then ask your self the question u just wrote. LOL dude XD Did u seriously just asked how dealing 2dmg to any target u want to choose is more proactive then STEALTH 2/3 FOR 3 MANA? XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD U just made my day XD
Oh, and Next time, dont try to look like smart guy by trying to point sb mistakes if u got no clue what are u talking about... ;-)
Go play some hs boy, learn some basics of the game, then talk at forum, jesus...
Oh and the definition of proactive minions is not at all what u want to think it is XD Proactive is for cards that make impact on the board instantly. So explain me how 2/3 stealth, do nothing, is proactive. Let me tell you, so you don't have to bother your self and use your brain; there is no explenation, becouse Shaku is not a proactive card.
SI7 is definitely more BOARD-CENTRIC but it is a reactive card becouse you REACT to opponent's board. If the board is empty (=nothing to react to), you´d rather play Shaku (a threat), so your opponent has to react on your PROACTIVE play.
basicaly: Board-centric does not equal pro-active. That is the misconception.
That being said, SI:7 is much better tempo play and most up-to-date lists indeed cut Shaku out.
0-6 deck, awesome terrible for me. And dont say that I dont know how to play HS or tempo decks =(
Changed Cairne Bloodhoof for Leeroy Jenkins and Shadowblade for Perdition's Blade which works better in my opinion
i think 1 fire fly only and use shaku just cos i like to burgle stuff :)
wow you really suck if you can't win those match up's with rogue :)
i dont think argent squire is necessary in this deck ,do you think i should replace it with chain gang , or second bonemare ?
Actually Argent Squire is relevant becouse of Corpsetaker synergy also u shouldn't play too much late game so I do not recomand replacing it with any big drop, u could try Saronite Chain Gang though
Good budget option for those who have Keleseth but don't have Edwin, Leeroy and other Rogue staples. Thanks!
It's not miracle rogue, it's tempo rogue, which means usually play one or two, three tops, cards in a round, so there is no point to play [card]Sherazin, Corpse Flower[/card]
How come you didnt include shadow step or any bounce cards for Keleseth?
Any replace for Cairne? i have no dust for him( (have shake+edwin)
You can replace Cairne with second Bonemarebut i recomend to save dust for Cairne if u dont need it so badly for other cards becouse Cairne is solid card which will probably see play in some other decks in future
Cairne Bloodhoof won't rotate anywhere. He stays, because he is in the classic set!
I hate when people spell Hearthstone cards wrong *sigh*
EDIT: I'm blind, nvm.
Thanks for the deck!
Played 5 games so far and 5-0 (rank 15 season reset). i replaced 1 Argent Commander for Leeroy Jenkins as i like to SMOrc ;) . The Shadowblade really helps in the early game even though its 3mana.
pretty surprised at how well this deck can perform, so far so good
Glad it's working for you ;) Argent Commander is in the deck mainly to get that divine shild on Corpsetaker so if u feel u don't need that extra chance to get divine shild it may be good change to put in Leeroy
