Important!!! The deck is being updated regularly now that almost all the cards have been released.
Description:
Control Shaman deck with a lot of possibilities around deathrattle mechanics.
"Evident" Combos:
- Reincarnate + Cairne Bloodhoof = 1x Cairne Bloodhoof + 1x Baine Bloodhoof
- Reincarnate + Sylvanas Windrunner = Take 1 random opponent's minion for 2 mana
Edit (19/08/2014): Updated decklist with the new cards and tested a lot for finding the best consistency.
Edit (03/09/2014): Updated decklist: now it's more stable and consistent. Removed Baron Rivendare, Earth Elementals, Ancestral Spirits because if you don't draw the combos the deck doesn't work well.
Can't wait to test out this deck today :D
Can't wait to put this deck into action once Wing 3 is released. So many possibilities!
What do you think about throwing in a Cult Master? seems like you may need some card draw to set up combos.
Maybe sub it in for Chillwind Yeti?
Some of the cards are not available yet.
uhm, cant you ancestral spirit + reincarnate on leeroy and the two newly spawned leroys would be able to charge again ?
if thats the case, id say take out cairne for leeroy and you just got another insane win condition.
It's another 3-cards combo... The deck needs to have some consistency. Also, if you have Leeroy in hand and no other pieces of the combo, then it's a dead card, while Doomhammer is good for himself (and also Cairne).
yeah okay, i think we got different approaches on the deck. i think there will be some really imbalanced mid range shaman decks that win your games pretty early on once we get reincarnate while you are trying a slower, safer approach.
I described almost the same deck with same card combinations in Naxxramas section. This will be definitely fun but if it works is a question.
I'm only dubious about Baron Rivendare consistency (and maybe Nerubian Eggs activation), but if it works, it will surely be a broken deck :) able to deal with control (Earth Shock, Hexes, ecc...) and aggro also (Sludge Belcher, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Storm) while having balance of spells and minions of midrange cost. To me it seems, for the most part, pretty balanced.
Exactly, the first thing as I saw the declaration of new Naxx cards were the combination of Baron R. and Nerubian Eggs (like many players I think). Imo adding 2x Sunwalker and at least 1 Faceless Manipulator can make this deck much stronger. For example playing Sunwalker in turn 6 and then trading him in turn 7 after casting Ancestral Spirit on him and playing Baron Rivendare or Farceless Manipulator would be a very strong move.
Naxxramas expansion has definitely made the silencers and cards like Hex or Sheep much more valuable.
That's why it's better that you do your combos with Baron Rivendare in the same turn as it's played. However, right now, the maximum possible silence for a class is 8 cards (Priest and Shaman) while Mage 6 and the other classes 4. In this deck there are something like 10 cards that could be silenced (not counting the copies created with the combos). Also, Ironbeak Owl and Spellbreaker have bad stats, so I think that they will not have a lot of success.
In this deck the 2 most valuable minions to absolutely silence are, IMO, Nerubian Egg and Cairne (Sylvanas slightly less), so you must play them only when you can output a good valuable combo (except when you actually want the opponent to waste some good silences). In the meantime you must control with spells and general purpose minions, like the really good Spectral Knight and the old friend Chillwind Yeti (and Harvest Golem also, and if the opponent silences him... well...That's really good).
However, especially the inexpensive Ironbeak Owl can easily be repeated with cards that put minions back on your hand, like Young Brewmaster which also costs 2 Mana only. But players would then of course waste several cards - like the Brewmasters - only for a special effect like silencing.
I will also be running a Faceless as it's just screams value combined with ancestral healing. Will probably remove the Yeti for Faceless. I am also tempted to run x2 of the lighning storm as zoo is very prevalent in current meta.
Holy bajeebus, Batman! This deck looks amazingly fun to play!
Totally going to run this deck. So many shenanigans. Love it! +1
I'm a bit confused but I like the ideas...
If you play Baron Rivendare then Nerubian Egg then Reincarnate... would the egg spawn two Nerubians AND another Nerubian Egg? That would be OP if so.
That is correct.
you would get 2 4/4 and 3 Eggs because the Ancestral Spirit deathrattle would trigger twice.
