Saw this deck many times in replay-videos - it was highlighted A LOT. Yesterday Toast released a video about this deck with a decklist. So I tried it out. And it is really Fun. Mainly, because people don't expect it. And it requires a lot of brain to - and math :)
But still. You should try it.
Upd. Toast made another video about this deck, showing, how complex it is and how hard it is sometimes to pilot it. By the way, you can see, he's scoring above 60% win-rate with it in his deck-tracker.
P.S. Have been told, that this deck origins belong to RageHs. So a big shoutout it to him and let his creativity never die.
I started on rank 17 and now i'm 25.
Nice one, mate. How did you go below 20?
it's special magic.
Happy to welcome a magician among us.
This deck became so popular, 3 times in a raw in casual game, i had to bring back my handlock deck. Taunts is the perfect counter. Otherwise this deck is really hard to play to many card needed to the combo and the meta is too fast for this deck but it's still fun to play.
Well, Toast is a popular guy :)
it's weak against aggro and shaman decks
No one ever told, that it's competitive. But it can win a lot of games, like Silence Priest.
Free wins for all aggro but pally^^
Amazing when the draw is perfect....A bad joke for rest of the time.
so far I'm at 3:9
the deck ist way too depended on luck, even with a good muligan you run out of combo possibilities fast. Everything you need to clear, to have a good draw machine, to even get to the OTKO needs 2, mostly expensive cards.
In the current meta, especially on lower ranks, you are just getting your face smashed in in 4-6 rounds, before you come close to having an answer.
I'm 6-5 on rank 9. You really don't need that much combo pieces. If you draw Emperor and play Emperor, you auto-win, because you just can take any taunt of their. And Pyromancer plays just destroy Aggro. Just like Control deck against Aggro these days - you need to draw some answers, but they are very effective.
Pint-Size Potion, Potion of Madness, Divine Spiritx2, Djinni of Zephyrs and Inner Fire is like super-combo and can kill people from any point (just Djinni does 24 damage), but there are a lot of situational victories (like opponent Doomsayer).
I started on rank 13 and am on 17 now. I'm dead when I play Emperor in turn 6 because I'm at 9 health and they have lethal on board.
Yeah, I know the feeling, but this deck is more suited against early Aggro pressure, then almost any Reno-Priest deck (because of 2 copies of every card) and those decks survive Aggro somehow. So only thing I can recommend you - keep trying different mulligans. Maybe check Toast's stream for some guidance...
Reply for the Edit:
Those are 12 Mana over 6 cards, so you would have needed to play emporer some time beforehand meaning you are at least at round 6, have all those cards in hand, face less than one taunt, not to talk to survive until then, meaning that you would have had to drawn the perfect answers the rounds before that, too.
I haven't seen one doomsayer played against this deck. Of course, why should they. There is no threat at all coming, so playing a doomsayer is unnecessary.
I'm at 5:20 now, and I think that's enough for me now. Agro kills this deck way too fast if you don't draw a Pyromancer and usefull spells that you don't need to combo, since there is NO taunt and NO heal you can use.
Control can just put up a taunt wall that you can't come through, except pint size + confuse, and I simply don't seem lucky enough to even get those cards at the same time.
Most taunts Controls play are 3-5 attack(Sen'jin Shieldmasta, Second-Rate Bruiser, Twilight Guardian, Sunwalker,Ancient of War, Druid of the Claw, White Eyes, Thing from Below). That's perfect for your combo. And they feel a little to safe behind it. I never lost to Warlock or Priest - only to Mages cause of Ice Block. Yes, with aggro it's harder, but really gives me pleasure, then I come through.
I'm not pushing anyone to play this deck. But this is a Good deck, as much as fun and innovative decks go.
I honestly didn't play one Mage or Warlock in my games. All Hunters, Rogues, Druids, Shamans and of course Warriors.
It would be fun, if it worked reliably. I love fun priest decks, especially OTKO, but there seem to be so much better options out there with silence decks that let you keep control and don't make you hope for the next card draw to be the best answer possible.
I'm playing this deck, is just amazing... but I don't really know what to mulligan, a guide would help :D
I'm not nearly confidant enough to guide someone through Toast's deck. If he will do a guide - I will gladly put it here, otherwise - it would be just wrong. Myself hit Legend once and I did a lot of mistakes, doing it. So any guide from me will be just failing a good deck. I try to learn from my experience, like Wild Pyromancer against Aggro and draw-mechanics against Control.
got it man, no problem, thanks for replying me
Thank you for the decklist.
