Thank you so much for getting this deck to the front page!!!! It's crazy that my first deck was able to make it there! Love you guys!
Introduction
Hey guys! I'm a relatively casual player, the highest I've reached is rank 1 (not legend). However, this has allowed me to focus more on fun than on ranking. I created this deck, to do just that, have fun. Surprisingly, this deck also turned out to be extremely effective. After playing N'zoth Shaman and Midrange Shaman, I began to realize just how many tech options Shaman has in its class cards. And when a class has too many tech options, we throw in one of each and add a Reno Jackson. From this realization, I tried many different combinations of cards until I found this deck list and am very satisfied.
At the moment, I have an 76% ( 28 - 9 ) win rate with this deck. This was done from rank 13 to 7. One of the losses came from BM in a guaranteed win, leading to an Auchenai Soulpriest from evolve not letting me Reno Jackson. Don't BM boys!
Gameplan
Early game
This deck has two different early game lines of play depending on your opening hand. One option is drawing the stereotypical Midrange Shaman early game. Tunnel Trogg followed by overload like Totem Golem or Feral Spirit. This is definitely the best option; you get in a lot of damage and minimize the damage to your face. The other less favorable option, is playing the early game as if you were playing a control deck. With 3 different board control spells - Lightning Storm , Elemental Destruction , and Maelstrom Portal - you can spend the majority of your early game baiting in a large board from your opponent then clearing it. Remember, you can take some damage since you have Reno. This is definitely the less favorable option, but it can work.
Late Game
Late game, you have a lot of damage/sustain options. One win conditions comes with Ragnaros the Firelord and Al'Akir the Windlord, they offer a lot of instant damage. The other win condition comes with Elise Starseeker in slower games.
Regardless of path, you will still have the most useful card in this deck, Justicar Trueheart. Before you roast, hear me out. This card is so helpful, so incredibly helpful. It supplements so many tech options. Wrath of Air Totem can increase aoe damage on command, or it can give you the lethal with lightning bolt. Healing Totem can put your board back to full after a fan of knives, Maelstrom Portal, or to keep them out of these cards range. And the best of all Stoneclaw Totem can on command keep a minion from being able to attack you for many turns.Try before you hate.
Aight guys, thanks for the read. If you tried it out and find some flaw or a way to make the deck better. Please comment and let me know, I really want to make this deck viable and I'll take all the help I can get.

10/27 -Tuskarr Totemic +Unbound Elemental
It's an interesting idea but strict control shaman is just better. Two healing waves are about the equivalent of a Reno and you have a better chance of getting one much earlier when you will need it. Plus Hallazeal gets better returns with more spell damage deck.
Maybe but I find this much more entertaining
Truth.
I just rebuild this deck to Nzoth-Control Shaman and it starts to win games!
Could you share a decklist?
Is Twilight Hammer really necessary couldn't I just use Doomhammer?
In my opinion, Twilight Hammer is a bad card here and have very little value. Replace it with Earth Shock or Ancestral Spirit
Nice deck idea man :) made a control warrior concede :D
Loved the video man, thank you so much for the gameplay!!
This deck looks fun, but its pretty weak comparing even to renolock and renomage.
Ive try it all day long, and every game looks like surviving simulator. You suffer from aggro decks, and heavy control decks just outvalue you, bc often you have no early game. One Trogg and one golem isnt enough.
Firstly, I have been having tons of fun with this deck and have probably played well over 20 games.
Secondly, I agree with you. He was clutter most of my games and my biggest downfall was control games because they'd keep dealing with my threats and their monkey would win out. Since then I put in Malchezaar in his place. Now I can draw away and still end up pretty even by game end. Plus I have some random threats that just add even more fun to the deck.
I like Soggoth equally so, but I don't have him. I think Malchezaar just adds a bit of extra fun and he hasn't hurt my draw yet, but honestly I play this deck for all the fun (yet win more than lose so that's always a plus!) Malch has saved me from fatigue loss as well as won me a game with a random charrrrrge, so he's my pick for now.
Something is not working for me.
I'm often beaten by aggro before I can get stabilized on board. Hallazeal either doesn't come or come without AOE spells so I rarely get profi from it. At the moment I have something around 35% WR (I have golden Shaman so I know how to play it, at least at on a mediocre level)
Al'akir definitely doesn't deserve a slot in this deck. With 0 buffs he is useless. I swapped him for Thunder Bluff Valiant. Also I have made few other changes:
Evolve - Earth Shock.
Sylvanas - Thing from Below.
Unbound Elemental - Earthen Ring Farseer
(not sure it is worth, but it feels I'm lacking healing so much, especially vs mages and hunters.)
Id have replaced alakir and Elise. Alakir because he totally sux right now and Elise because shaman dont have good surviving tools after monkey have been played.
Your surviving tool after monkey is your 0/2 taunts every turn that can pacify your opponents minion, because after monkey only one or two minions will be on the board.
Yee i know about taunt totem :P i tried justicar with elise in shaman and the problem was always the same. There is barely ever a time to play elise but justicar is ok i guess.
Do you have any suggestions as a replacement for Al'Akir, because i was definitely thinking about that?
Lost my first game against midrange shaman, but I wasn`t ready to give up on the deck so I tried again and crushed a Control Warrior and a Midrange Shaman afterwards! Waiting patiently for that Gorehowl really pays off in the end! :)

I love it. I played alot of Justicar in control Shaman but never thought about going reno. Also works pretty well around rank 5 :)
+1 for creativity and the fun aspect! cheers x0x0
why would you need to make this a reno deck when you have hallazeal is beyond me
The point is to out-live your opponent through fatigue. Like control warrior, or the powerful fatigue priests from the past, sustain is the key to letting your opponent burn out all their resources. Also, Hallazeal is sorta conditional given that you need to combo the minion with AoE. Sometimes you don't have those options in hand.
