Hi, I'm WololoTaku (Wololo#1780), and this is the deck that get me Legend.
A typical midrange, but with some techs to improve the winrate:
Stormcrack: to fix a weakness of Shaman, 4- health annoying minions.
It's always useful, and sometimes save you of having to use an Hex.
Examples of this: Totem Golem, Imp Gang Boss, Frothing Berserker, Flamewaker, Azure Drake, Gadgetzan Auctioneer, etc (and even bigger minions with spell damage boosts).
Bloodlust: Surprise! This card won me games like a beast and improve my winrate enough to get Dat Legend.
While you have it in your hand, see each turn if you have lethal. Sum to the account things like Flametongue Totem and Argent Horserider if you can combo them.
If you don't have lethal , fill board to set it soon or play Al'Akir the Windlord to discount health, and if survives, bloodlust just win.
Examples:
And Proof of Legend:
Mulligan
Keep
Conditional keeps
- Flametongue Totem if you have Argent Squire
- Bloodmage Thalnos if you have Spirit Claws
- Lightning Storm or Maelstrom Portal against aggro
- Feral Spirit if you have 1 and 2 mana drops or 1 mana drop and Coin
The best you can do is knowing the matchups, so you can mulligan against them correctly.
For example, against druid and priest, generally the best card you can mulligan for is Hex.
Against aggreisve decks like mage or zoo, you can keep a Feral Spirit or Stormcrack if you have already a good curve.
Strategy
Against aggro and midrange go for value, remove all their stuff and then go for the win.
Against control, abuse the hero power and when you have the taunt totem put a flametongue or a mana tide to bait aoe. Do it until they have spent all of them and then you play valiant and the discounted taunts. (try to keep them if you can until aoes are gone).
In all, try to set surprise lethals if you can with Bloodlust or Al'Alkir.
You can wait to play the Al'akir combo with Flametongue, but sometimes you can play it on curve. If survives, Flametongue or Bloodlust do a lot. If not, at least he keep your other minions safe for a Valiant or a Bloodlust. But try not to play it into an easy Brawl or Twisting Neither, at least they have already use one or you have a secure future lethal.
Replacements
Bloodmage Thalnos -> Kobold Geomancer (only spell damage matter)
Al'Akir the Windlord -> Ragnaros the Firelord, 2nd Bloodlust or Argent Horserider (To keep the synergy with Bloodlust and Flametongue Totem).
If you want to know something you can ask. See ya!
Hmm would Crackle not better fit in then Stormcrack?
Its because this is a standard deck from the past that never get updated haha. Sorry I don't play wild but if you want something for standard you can see the deck that get me Legend last season: www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1192602-legend-75-winrate-even-boomsday-shaman-s55-2018 See ya!
Very good, I like the 2 4-drop to sweeten the curve and stormcrack that gives you a big advantage in mirror matchup to kill a golem.
The most questionnable card is al alkir, sure it's nice when barnes bring that up (alongside a flametongue xD) but maybe a second fire elemental or harrison jones would be better overall.
Yes, Al'kir doesn't have the same powerlevel as before, but it still a good minion to put presion, and against slow matchups like warrior or paladin I prefer it over Ragnaros. In that matchups, I can wait to set a flametongue + alkir for 10 damage and be sure it goes face, it requires more cards to be killed than Ragnaros and if survives (it happen more that it seems), other Flametongue or Bloodlust wins.
And is better than Ragnaros against decks like Hunter or Zoolock because helps cleaning the board and leaving a taunt for Call of the Wild or Doomguard. But I will try with another Fire Elemental and tell you how it goes.
Poor Al'kir and his Rockbitters... they don't have the fault of facehammers being op, I will miss them (T^T)7
replacement for tunnel trogg??
Argent Squire would be the best option, but if you do that you might consider changing Feral Spirit for Argent Horserider, for synergy.
Thanks, I will try to get legend this season too with this post-nerf changes .
I' ll keep this updated, so tell me later if you try it how it works for you. Good luck!
