Hey guys! This week I climbed from rank 5 to rank 2 using this deck I created. It is a complete deck: one of the most versatile I have ever played, has a strong early, mid and late game, and I dominate the board over most games.
Mulligan for up to 4-cost minions, always keep Reno Jackson, and control the board during the whole game. When you reach turn 10, you should have C'Thun or N'Zoth, the Corruptor, Ancient Harbinger is there to help you get one of those.
Shadowcaster can be played in place of Ancient Harbinger, both have their pros and cons, usually Ancient Harbinger shortens the duration of the game when you manage to keep her alive one turn, while Shadowcaster gives you more control and a stronger late game.
Hi there,
fun deck, I put in 1 Shadowstep just for the LULZ -> combo with Reno, NÄ'Zoth or even C'Thun or Blade of C'Thun is just nuts :D Kappa
Deck works in casual, ranked it gets slaughtered.
The reason is because im rank 15 and almost every kid is playing aggro. Guess ill have to make an aggrolock deck in order to get where the real players are. Otherwise, amazing deck and thank you!
Substitutes for Edwin, Thalnos, and Cairne? I know they can be big players, but I'm playing a non-Reno version of this deck and it's working decently without them. I'm making the switch to Reno, however, because I simply can't survive against decent aggro starts.
I was thinking of fitting in Shadowstop, Deadly Poison, and perhaps a Refreshment Vendor. Opinions?
Nice deck, ty
Need shadowstep. For N'Zoth and even C'Thun.
I would rather play Shadowcaster instead of Ancient Harbinger for additional deathrattle minion + 1 mana Reno/C'Thun/N'Zoth/Twin etc
Also, Deadly Poison would be great too.
Thalnos feels very weak too, but don't really know what to change him for tho.
Thank you for your opinion, I agree, Shadowcaster is a very good option. Ancient Harbinger is working outstandingly well for me though, I wouldn't like to sub her out, but I think she's the best card to swap for Shadowcaster if you want to play it. I will put your suggestion in the description.
Bloodmage Thalnos is there mostly for the card draw, which is extremely important, and for being a deathrattle minion. It could be subbed for another card draw if you like.
About Deadly Poison, I really don't see any room for it, I've tried Southsea Squidface (similar but with a higher cost), but Infested Tauren and Polluted Hoarder worked much better, for the reasons that having a taunt deathrattle minion gives you plenty more safety to play N'Zoth, the Corruptor, and that card draw is so important in this deck.
The biggest problem of this deck is inconsistency and Deadly Poison is exactly what is needed for killing 2-3 health minions at the start of the game. Mostly because 1 SI7 and 1 Backstab is not enough to do anything against zoo/aggroshamans. The problem is NOTHING in this deck on 2-3 mana is trading favorably (except SI7 and cthun panda). Loot hoarders and Hucksters just cycling themselves without doing anything to any non- heavy control deck. I understand that its a different deck and more to the fun/experimenting side, but any miracle/n'zoth decks are just hundreds times better.
I got legend few times with only rogue and currently experimenting with other types of rogue decks and honestly nothing works. And it's not really about cards being bad or something, but by the lack of some class defining stuff like FWA for warrior, Flamewaker for mage or Call of the Wild for hunter.
Also, why no Blade of C'Thun? It is even usable in non-C'thun decks.
elise starseeker missing, looks like a good swap for talnos
I took out Ancient Harbinger and Doomcaller for Shadowcaster and Blade of C'Thun after making a few tests. I will now be testing Deadly Poison for Journey Below. I don't think Elise Starseeker fits in the deck because there's already too many situational cards and the deck is really draw-dependant.
well, Ragnaros might be the next step you will take, and it becomes more and more just a usual reno-cthun rogue. what do you think about it?
This deck is working super well for me at the moment, Rank 12 to 8 & 4/5
Subbed out a Cairne for Xaril, because I dont own one yet :s
How is your experience with Ancient Harbinger? Did she survives most of the time?
On my experience she survived at least 1 turn about half of the times played, and when not, the opponent spent a hard nuke on her, which gives safety for the other big minions.
