This deck has been hilarious to use, and Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound is the real MVP. I have not been tracking the win/loss ratio, but I have won at least 50-60% of my matches in both casual and rank 8-9 constructed over course of 20 games or so.

With the release of WotOG, not as much removal is being ran, so being able to pump out large minions each turn turns out to be very effective. The minion slots are flexible, but the idea is to use many high stat or hard to remove taunts, along with Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound and many other big minions to dominate the board. Cards without battle cries that significantly downgrade their base stats are preferred, but as this deck is 100% reliant on Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, good battle cry cards can be viable.

The goal is obviously to try to hard mulligan for a very early Astral Communion, as this typically wins you the game outright. This, of course, is subject to variation in what you draw. While Astral Communion is the best way to get this deck moving, but it is also viable to hard ramp up with Innervate/Nourish and Wild GrowthMire Keeper and Darnassass Aspirant isn't advised due to poor synergy with our glorious friend Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound. However, this secondary method is more risky against aggro, but hey, its an Astral Communion deck!

It probably isn't extremely efficient to ladder with, due to the presence of the many face shamans in ranked at the moment, and how reliant that early Astral Communion is in surviving against that particular matchup. Other than that, the deck seems to be able to perform pretty well against most matchups given you aren't completely forsaken by your ramp cards. But most importantly, this deck is FUN!

Due to a lack of dust, there are some cards that could be better used in a deck slot, but what is listed here has been working fine so far.

Some potential replacement options include:

Ysera

Alexstraza

Aviana (possibly)

Soggoth the Slitherer (great option!)

Gruul

Deathwing, Dragonlord

More questionable, but still potentially good options:

The Boogeymonster

Baron Geddon

Hogger, Doom of Elwynn

The Skeleton Knight

Enjoy, and feel free to tinker to your (Y'Shaarj's) heart's desire!
