Key Card: Elise Starseeker
Dunno if this works lol
Basically use effects that return Elise Starseeker to your hand and trigers battlecry several times.
Use draw abilities whenever possible to find Golden Monkeys in your deck.
Brann Bronzebeard combos nicely with Elise Starseeker and even Coldlight Oracle.
Edit 7/11/2015:
Thx for all the comments :)
For those who concerned about this, the deck this just showing a rough idea of my thoughts on this. It could be loads of changes after the patch hits. As you guys mentioned, three issues are essential to be tested later:
1. Average turns it takes to find the Golden Monkey.
2. Will we be able to survive before that? (Consider balance of draw power and cards for survival)
3. How good is Golden Monkey?
But anyways even if it is not competitive, I believe it could be a fun deck with reasonable strength to play :P
Edit 11/12/2015:
As the mighty Elise Starseeker finally unlocked, all comments and tests are super welcomed :)
Since this is a theorycraft that created one month ago, it should be lots of improvements on this deck from now on. However I really wanna keep this snapshot of my thoughts one month ago so I will not make any changes on this theorycraft. If I figure out a more feasible version of this I will save it in a new page. Also, I will be glad to see different versions that you guys created.
Have fun!
This deck has just restored rogue's legacy and has easily made it the best deck in hearthstone at the moment, though my mill rogue has modifications and is way different than this deck in concept and theory, overall the golden monkey has made mill rogue the most lethal deck on the market. In essence the final result you're capturing is your opponent to be in fatigue with 5 or less cards in their hand with your deck containing over 10 cards and your hand and board full with legendaries. While running my mill golden monkey rogue, my opponent had 12 cards in their deck at turn 4. I have screenshots of the desired end result, please be patient while I upload them. I'm very new to this site so it's appreciated if someone could assist me in how I can post them
FUNNEST DECK I'VE EVER PLAYED!!
No, seriously. This deck is a blast. Just played a game against a priest where we both played Elise Starseeker, though he got it first. The game went way into fatigue. I never ended up playing the monkey, just turtled and played both Gang Ups on my Antique Healbots. He played his monkey, and I used my second Vanish and healbots to stall until he died from fatigue. I still had 2 cards left. XD
Though I'm sure there's room for improvement, this is my favorite deck to come out of LoE. LoE in general has just been amazing, slowing down the meta enough for decks like this to actually be playable. Over the next few days I'll be tweaking both this deck and a Starseeker deck for priest. I wish everyone the best of games and RNG ahead of them! :)
P.S. I just coined the term "Starseeker Deck." You saw it here first, boys.
Had just played a version of this deck exept i swapped out prep for deathlord since i dont have it... i managed to mill a midrange hunter and deathwing him thx to golden monkey it took 5 antique heal-bots and got down to 17 life
Well, I just fatigued a Face Hunter with this deck.
A+++, would play again.
A very interesting deck. Worth a try.
Preparation is one of the best cards rogue. Replace it with nothing.
try Millhouse Manastorm
It's bad even in a joke it seems
So, in theory post-monkey drop, you could drop a Nexus-Champion Saraad and get Shiv. And then later drop Aviana followed on the next turn (if she survived), by 6x Malygos and a nastier Shiv. About as likely as winning the lottery, but priceless entertainment.
In any event, I pity the foo' who doesn't have an answer to Aviana (unless that foo's opponent has gotten 20 x Finkle Einhorn . . . wonder if that'll be a possible "legendary" replacement?).
Finkle is token, so it wouldn't be possible.
so much theory hopefully this works!
I don't know why people are downvoting this comment, when it's fairly true.
I won't be the one who's gonna despise this deck (regardless the OP's effort), but Exacerberus is true.
m8 this is a fun deck and i think it will be playable with some improvements(to provide more control options)
Lol come on guys, this is so bad, I mean I like the idea of unique decks and stuff, and this could be a pretty cool mill deck actually, with double Battlecry. But trust me, starseeker and golden monkey combo is so bad, even if there was a 0 mana cost card that would turn all my cards into legendaries, I still wouldn't use it. Nobody would! Because It's not even a decent combo. It is not a bad deck, but what the deck is trying to achieve is terrible. It has already been proven that a deck with 30 Legendaries is terrible, and if you cannot even choose the legendaries, even worse. I mean come on guys. If you don't agree just wait until it releases and see for yourself, you will notice that it is decent as a mill deck, and absolutely terrible IF YOU get the "dream combo".
1) The only reason that an all legendary deck is terrible is because aggro-decks damage the hero at such fast rate that you die before any legendaries can be played.
2) This deck is a theorycraft, The definition of theorycraft is: "Theorycrafting is the attempt to mathematically analyze game mechanics in order to gain a better understanding of the inner workings of the game". This deck is literally a deck to test the workings of the idea of the Golden Monkey Combo
In conclusion, this deck is extremely interesting and cant be tested until 2 weeks when the expansion fully releases, therefore its impossible to judge a deck when it has not even been tried out yet.
I definitely like the concept. Wound up building a similar deck before running across this one, though I kept it focused on utilizing Reno Jackson
The real question is, if you have a golden Elise Starseeker, would the map and monkey be golden as well? If so, would all of the cards in your deck turn golden after playing the monkey?
The first person who gets only majordomo's from the monkey deserves an achievement.
