The goal of this deck is to reach Frost Lich Jaina and overwhelm the opponent with Water Elementals. If we are lucky our hero power will deal 5+ damage.
We control the early game with our secrets and cheap spells.
We have several options to generate more Wildfires:
Feel free to "waste" these spell generators and select the spells that fit best to the current situation. You can use Wildfire early in the game because it's effect will remain even after the transformation to Jaina.
Once we reached our endgame we have several options to gain back health:
- Water Elementals through our hero power
- Reno Jackson
- Oasis Ally
- Baron Geddon
- Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk
- Siamat
Notable interactions:
- Reckless Apprentice after the transformation to Jaina can summon multiple Water Elementals at once
- Consider pinging your own minions to create fresh Water Elementals
- Apexis Smuggler can be used in a secret chain since it can discover secrets. Especially in combination with Kabal Lackey or Kalecgos on board.
- An early Water Elemental through Oasis Ally can shutdown weapon based decks completely
- work in progress....
Any reason for not running Mordresh Fire Eye? Does he mess up the curve too badly? I would have figured the burst would be a nice way to finish out games.
Yes I will include it when I figured out which card I could replace
I was having the same issue lol. I couldn't think of one card to take out for him, so I've just been playing the deck as-is. It seems like it works pretty well so far, but the season is still young and I'm still pretty low rated in wild atm.
Also I am amazed that the Wildfire buff carries over to Frost Lich Jaina's hero power. All of my experience from similar interactions would make me think it wouldn't. I was worried this was going to be a deck where I would have to hold onto all of them until I got to play her.
I didn't even try to use it before the transformation. This info is now in the deck description, thanks.
And I found a solution for Mordresh. Potion of Polymorph is gone now. It was only effective in a few games and most of the time it transformed small minions. And in games against big minions you can discover it or Polymorph through your discover cards.
