Heroic Patchwerk - Mage's stunlock deck

Consistency: Super (win rate is close to 100%)

Introduction:

When I considered this perma-freeze approach, I didn't have much hope, that it will be consistent enough to keep Patchwerk frozen for the entire game. But Blizzard added so many good freeze cards... there is something for this deck in almost every expansion. I was surprised how amazingly well this deck works.

After creating, refining and testing it, I checked Hearthpwn for similar decks. I found a lot of decks, which use some freeze effects, but it looks like none of them are so freeze-heavy. So I defenitely recommend to try this one. It is both very fun and almost unbeatable.

General strategy:

This deck has no milling and only limited number of taunts, because it is built around just a single task of keeping Patchwerk permanently frozen. But it is VERY GOOD at this task.

To counter Patchwerk's Hero Power this deck uses a token-style approach with a lot of cheap creatures. His single target removal just can't compete with steady flow of your minions (especially since he prioritizes your zero-attack taunts), so you eventually will overwhelm and kill him with your freezing swarm.

Deck composition:

More than half of these cards have some freeze effect attached to them. Snowchugger, Water Elemental and Ice Walker have perma-freeze effect while they stay on the board. This is more than enough to stunlock Patchwerk permanently.

Taunts are used to protect your other minions from Patchwerk's Hero Power (not his weapon!), since dumb AI will always destroy them first.

Duplicate generates additional swarm minions to keep the boss busy.

Acidic Swamp Ooze will win a bit of tempo, if it will be played before turn 6.

Mulligan:

Snowchugger is the best. Coin it on turn 1. Patchwerk will ignore it and go face, and probably it will be his last weapon attack. Acidic Swamp Ooze is also worth coining. Ice Walker is possible, if there is no other play, but significantly worse.

Other cards you want to keep - Freezing Potion, Frostbolt, Ice Lance, Mirror Image, Glacial Shard. Basically anything, that costs from 0 to 2 mana is ok (which is 2/3 of your deck), but prioritize freeze effects.

Tactic tips:

First turns are most important. The boss will ignore non-taunt minions, which allows you to coin a 2-mana minion (all of them will deny his next turn one way or another). Don't play your taunts on turn 1, if you can't protect them with a freeze effect.

When you have a choice between a spell and a minion, always play a minion first. The more things you have on the board - the better. This is your primary win condition.

Acidic Swamp Ooze's battlecry only matters before turn 6, so play it early.

Consistency notes:

I never lost a game with this deck durinig my tests, although it probably can lose in case of very bad draw or incorrect play. This deck has so many ways to keep things going, that you have to be very unlucky to don't find any.

Blacktiger's Naxxaramas deck collection:

Provided win rates are approximate. They are based on my tests and so partially depend on how lucky/unlucky I was during my testing. Also keep in mind, that you need a bit of experience with a deck to use it to its full potential. So first attempts usually have lower win rates, than suggested in this list.
