I had the best BM time of my life with this card: I played as control pally (No dirty secrets) against mech mage. I had Ysera and minibot on board, and mage topdecked reaver. At 10 mana, I noticed how many low cost cards I have. I played double equality, dreamed my Ysera, played laughing sister and BGHd reaver just for the lulz. This would have been a 15-Card-Drop. I have never BMd an aggro mage so gloriously
Aldor Peacekeeper approves this card
A druid played this against me on turn 5.
I topdecked Aldor and he insta-conceded.
Update: I did the same thing in arena. Against druid , he plays fel reaver , i aldor it.
I wish I could afford to make these or play this game in general, great card always strong in arena
Arena is the only possible place where it might work, in my humble opinion, and that is only if you get it in the early game.
No i have won tons of games using this card in my mech warrior and shamen
Just played vs druid who played it at turn 1... I've never been so salty -_-
This card's name should be changed to "remove" and not "discard" since if you look at the ingame text it only says remove. The description here is misleading...
Mage coined this out on turn 4. I aldor peacekeeper'd the next turn. Watched as the mage spent the rest of the game trying to kill his own Fel Reaver.
Lol I did that a few times in arena and just made them lose their whole deck. One time fel reaver was played and I had an argus + a taunt so I just ignored it and played a bunch of crap.
Mages seem to be playing this a lot now, but I still don't think its that good. People will defend this card, by saying it can cycle through bad cards, but really no card in your deck should be bad, and this thing can cycle out your fireballs too (two fireballs can be a great turn 8 finisher). It's also not always good against aggro, as aggro cards are a lot cheaper, and its possible to play 5 cards in one turn. Soft control is another issue, such as aldor peacekeeper and freeze effects. No of these issues are, usually the real problem though. The real issue is even though its a 8/8 on turn 5, its still just a 8/8. Control is not just about big cards, but big cards that are hard/un-ideal to get rid of, or cards that make your opponent play differently.
Unconvinced by this card. Seen a lot of players use him in mage decks (Kolento included). Is too much a liability and too circumstantial
I have the gold version of this card and absolutely love it. I play mostly aggro decks, and not only is everyone terrified of the old Fel Reaver sound (anyone who'd played WoW during The Burning Crusade era), but it actually is an amazingly effective card
By turn 5 in an aggro deck, this card really can't mess you over. You have more than half your deck left, and your hand is probably close to empty with this being one of the last thing you'll play. The drawback is often irrelevant in most games. You think it is a negative thing burning cards out of your deck, but that is just as help you as hurt you if it cycles past cards that weren't as helpful
If they don't have a BGH they are in heaps of trouble on turn 5
I've had some games I was really far behind on and then the opponent plays this and it gave me new life. It's extra hilarious when playing rogue.
This card is slowly becoming my fave in the game. So many games won with a turn 4 or 5 Fel.
Its so very good if your opponent struggles to counter it. usually, it dies fairly often when I play it, because I use it as backup or to ensure board control.
to be honest I've never used Fel Reaver as a direct source of damage for early game rushes. I've used it in arena twice and already i think so much more of this card. its funny how when it came out I thought I would never use it, and here I am commenting on how great this card can be!
any one ells notice its not showing the cards it burns after the 3.0 patch
Fixed
This card just got me 8 wins in Arena with Hunter.
It's really great if you can coin it out or use Mechwarper to play it on turn 4. Spellbreaker is a nice combo with him to silence annoying taunts or even Fel Reaver itself.
Best counter to Sylvanas Windrunner/Mirror Entity ever
