This is just a better Unstable Portal in almost every way. The discover mechanic makes it much easier to get exactly the spell you need, and on top of that, the average mage spell is MUCH better than the average minion. At least remove the mana discount on the spell you discover or something, because it always feels so bs to play with and against this thing.

We should all petition to nerf this card. 3 mana
Does this card have more likelihood of crappy cards to balance it out? I've been playing the Medivh Mage and every Primordial Glyph has had a Spellbender. Freezing Potion and Shatter seem to appear way more often than Fireball or Flamestrike too.
Wtf you are talk about dude, this shit is broken.
I have a practical question.
Is Primordial Glyph only limited to discovering mage spells ala Cabalist's Tome or does it allow one to discover a spell from any class ala Spellslinger? By the text is would be seem to be the later but given how messed up the text on some cards has been in the past and in some cases still is (Molten Giant) it could be the former.
Wherever possible, Discover cards are always limited to cards that are either Neutral or the class you're playing (not that there are any collectable Neutral spells in the game anyway) regardless of what class the card is. If you play this as a Mage, you'll Discover a Mage spell, but if you were to play this as a Priest (who have a number of ways to get it such as Crystalline Oracle or Thoughtsteal), then you'll Discover a Priest spell.
There are some exceptions to this rule (Drakonid Operative for example allows you to Discover any card in your opponent's deck even if it's from a different class than what you're playing, and Hydrologist because not all classes have Secrets). In general though, Discover is normally limited to cards you can only put into your deck from your class. This card is no exception to that rule because you only Discover spells from your own class with this.
I cast Primordial Glyph once as a Shaman. Lorewalker Cho had been on the board due to Evolve/Devolve and gave me a copy. I was given a choice of Shaman spells. Picked up a 3-cost Volcano. Felt good!
prob best epic in the set. too bad i didnt open, had to craft :/

If someone played Ambush! against you in wild, would it show up as a discover option? Thanks, Cobalt, was thinking of Shadow Visions.
That's Shadow Visions, a different card.
This must be THE best Discover card ever made. At first it felt like 0 mana get a discover a great (mage) spell, but then you realize your opponent can cast 3 fireballs on same turn with help of this if you discovered any previous turns. Like Hallucination and I Know a Guy are trash compared with this.
3rd, 4th Ice Block or Fireball? Yep. Broken shit.
I thought this card wouldn't be something special but I didn't realize the interaction with Sorcerer's Apprentice. T2 apprentice, T3 this, you get a 2 mana discount on your spell instead of 0. You can cast a Flame Lance on turn 3, for example. Or an Arcane Intellect for completly free on turn 3. It is a very good spell.
Can someone explain how Primordial Glyph work WITH Open the Waygate ? Cuz someone says you can complete q in turn 2 ... however it is in your deck, so It shouldnt count in to quest, should it? I would be thankful for every explanation/thoughts :)
the idea behind this is that you can discover another primordial glyph from a glyph in your deck, and the discover another glyph from the glyph you just dicovered and so on till you complete the quest
