How does this guy work with Wisps of the Old Gods?
summon and then buff
so fandral and then coin wisp?
the choose effect goes in the order the text is written
I suppose my phrasing could have been better.
So you play Fandral turn 4, and then on turn 5 assuming Fandral hasn't died you use the coin to play Wisps of the Old Gods?
Ok now i understand what you mean. Yeah, that might be a strong play.
Btw, wisps of the old gods is 7 mana.
innervate instead of coin then... no idea why but for some reason I was thinking Fandral and wisps of the old gods were closer in mana cost.
Jesus now I understand druid nerfs. This guy is insane.
Decent body for a 4 mana minion, but it will be like Emperor Thaurissan and die as soon it hits the table.
I believe we will have to wait a full turn most of the time to allow big minions benefit from it's effect (unless you have Innervate). However, cheaper spells like Wrath, Living Roots or Raven Idol can be used right away for full value with this guy up.
I just wonder how it will work with stuff like Azure Drake in play. Does each effect gain a stance of the +1 spell damage bonus? I mean, can we blast a minion for 6 Wrath damage (4 from bigger + 2 from the mini effect)?
Don't get me wrong, I love the card (even its art is on the top of the whole HS so far), since it adds quite a lot of possibilities and therefore strategies to druid.
My concern is that, choose one being a core mechanic for druid, present in many cards, Fandral is going to be the new druid staple for the next two years of standard (possibly beyond in wild).
Well, I guess it is quite fair if class legendaries become staples...
It's about time another class got one, if this is, considering Tirion is a staple in all but eboladin and some Anyfin variants, Antonidas in tempo, freeze and exodia, Grom in control and patron.
I really want to hate this card because the effect is unoriginal (just look at hearthcards for like 2 seconds and I guarantee you will find something like this) but the fact that its so flexible will mean I will see it everywhere, so if I hate it I will go insane
What happens to the transform choose ones?
They have combined forms like 5/5 druid of the flame and 4/6 Taunt & Charge for druid of the claw.
