Card Clarifications
- Yogg's Battlecry effects all potential targets, including your own hero. (Source)
- Yogg is able to hit himself with the spells cast. If he dies during the Battlecry, it will still continue. (Source)
- This is no longer the case. If Yogg kills himself, the spells stop.

Most people thought of him as a joke card (and some still do), but personally speaking I consider it as one of my best dust expenses ever. As a WoG card he will be eventually phased out from Standard, but the fun you'll have until you reach that point more than makes up for this handicap.
There are certain criteria to be met for an optimal play, and pro players in streams and tournaments pay (sort of!) attention to them (I think I saw him in the recent big one in China, in the decks of the tournament winner). He can win an otherwise unwinnable game, and can serve as a comeback mechanic when you have none left. He usually clears the whole board and draws you cards. That's why you avoid playing him when you have a large hand and a good board (playing him with a large hand is a bad idea also because you might lose it with Astral Communion).
It's not a "win more" card at all, but more of a "panic button" one - in that role he is still unpredictable but otherwise very good, and of course on top of that he's the #1 fun card of Hearthstone. I can't even begin to describe the Armageddon scenes taking place in videos and my own plays. Last night the cruel bastard summoned an adorable Murloc Tinyfin, only to Pyroblast it a few seconds later, and then kill himself in style (I won that game a few turns later).
Was really septic about that dude.
Just crafted it in a salty moment after a huge lose streak with tempo mage.
Went 6/0, 4 of them carried by Yogg (lots of draws and board clears).
Praise Yogg-Saron.
I just pulled this from a pack and it has been my favorite new card so far!
Best card.
This card is just fun to use and always kills itself
Yogg-Saron hates Hunters way much more than I do
YoggHunter (me) vs. MechMage. I have two cards in the hand (Yogg and another one), 5 HP, Mage have full board and health. I play Yogg - Tree of Life, Lightning Storm on enemy board, Sprint, Burgle, some other spells...
Yogg alive, 10/5, board is clear, I have full hand. And I won few turns after.
Crafted him 2 hours ago. Love this dude.
Anyone else try Yogg' and Load yet?
Whats the bestt Yogg deck now fellas?hehe
Sometimes it feels like he deserves to be dusted for full cost...

>Notices the Druid's minions get frozen instead of mine
>The battlecry got transferred to me when Sylvanas stole Yogg
That Druid changed religions to C'Thun shortly after.
Great artwork
This card can go both ways, it could destroy you or your opponent. It is very fun to play though :)
Id expect a funnier and more obscene reply from someone with a username such as yours.
BOW DOWN BEFORE THE GOD OF DEATH!
more like the god of meth
Not hope's end it is begining of all hopes
You should check your story carefully when making it up.... Assassinate can only be casted on enemy minions...
Lol that was funny! Gotta love internet lies.
