It be cool if they buffed the battlecry to be "battlecry: if you control a beast gain taunt and reduce enemy minions attack by one". Would be fitting of that terrific golden animation roar shaking the resolve of all the enemies minions. Be a nice effect for a taunt aswell, and would atleast make it so The Lich King isn't just exclusively better than it.
This can actually be better than Ironbark Protector because if you can control when you get taunt, you can play around The Black Knight from Unstable Portal ;)
Oh man, I actually like this guy. So there I am, playing rogue arena.
I draft a Dire Wolf Alpha, but more importantly THREE Pit Snakes!
I draft Fossilized Devilsaur. M E M E S happened.
This card has by far the best golden animation in the game! Kreygasm
Most ppl think this card is bad but i actuly have high hopes for tihs 1.
Combined with Brann Bronzebeard, this card can receive taunt twice.
Literally a Ironbark Protector for Control Hunter decks
If you play it it has to be golden.
I suppose that in beast decks that aren't druid and hunter it's their finisher? Really bad finisher though.
Finally, Blizzard releases a decent 8-drop. I'm glad I don't have to worry about Ragnaros the Firelord accidentally hitting my opponent's Acolyte of Pain, letting him draw. Fossilized Devilsaur also has better stats than Force-Tank MAX all without the weakness to the inevitable Blood Knight, and unlike Kel'Thuzad, I don't have to worry about my field flooding with minions and not letting me play any. My only objection to this card is that it might be too good; it's strictly better than Ironbark Protector due to its ability to dodge The Black Knight.
Hmm.... my sarcasm detector is going off the chart.
Unfortunately, this overpowered card has been completely power creeped by Eldritch Horror. It's doesn't have the fatal weakness of being vulnerable to The Black Knight if you have a beast, and can also bait out the meta dominant double Shrinkmeister-Cabal combo. In addition, it forces your opponent to play a Crazed Alchemist before they can BGH it, which was the Fossilized Devilsaur's only weakness. It's a shame that even overpowered cards like this and Magma Rager have been outclassed by even more powerful cards like Eldritch Horror and the blatantly op Am'gam Rager.
I really don't understand what blizzard was thinking when they made this card. Also why would they make the golden thing look so good if it can't be played. Maybe it can be good in arena but probably not even there.
He meant can't be played because it sucks, not because you can't actually obtain it.
I loved him in that one movie with that flashlight guy
Yup. Explanation:
In the League of Explorers adventure, Arch-Thief Rafaam steals the Staff of Origination and uses it to animate the exhibits and generally cause massive chaos. You get this card after beating the boss version of it, Skelesaurus Hex.
