Clarifications
- If your board is full, Varian puts drawn minions into your hand. If Chromaggus is on board, you'd get a copy of the minion. (Source)
- Minions will be played onto the board if your hand is full. (Source)
- Like all minions summoned to the board, minions brought on by Varian don't activate their battlecries. (Source)
lets face it - it 10 mana vs 10 mana. But neptulon gives you 4 crappy cards vs 3 cards on your deck AND play them for free.
3 cards worth 3 mana... someone should let arcane intellect know
Mana Wraith value! :)
So "heavy handed" warriors are back! Taunts and armor to get through early and spam legendaries! Nice idea. Also i really like that he has 10 mana cost. I wonder what will he say to Garrosh when played.
very nice one <3
Wonder if Varian's effect triggers Chromaggus. Lordy lord the value!
It says 'draw' so it will trigger Chromaggus.
Too bad he almost never survives the turn.
I was just about to post it :)
Blizzard stated spells will be copied but mininos will not unless the board is full(and thus can not be put in play) the real question imo is if chromaggus comes into play as the first card drawn will it be able to copy the others?
Hard control warrior decks will be awesome. (maybe taunt version) imagine you draw, ysera, Emperor, Ragnaros or High cost Taunts. This card is insane i love the art most.
This card is so cool.Loved it but this being a warrior card is weird lorewise and yeah there is already some of those cards.
Aight let's think this through for a moment. in order for the card to get value, it basically has to summon minions worth 4+ mana. A 7/7 is technically worth 7 mana but that obviously doesn't cut it so it has to generate additional value.
If we now take a standard control Warrior list for direct comparision since I imagine that's the type of deck this card is designed for. That kind of deck runs 10-12 weapons & spells and 18-20 minions with an average mana cost of approximately 5.2.
This essentially means that the chance of drawing a minion is between 60 and 66% and the average minion you draw will be worth 5.2 mana. On average you should consequently draw and put in play almost 10 mana worth of minions and draw an additional weapon or spell. Needless to say this is positively insane.
Nope. You doesnt have to summon noone to get value - 10 mana 7/7 draw 3 cards is already as good if not better than Ancient.
My wording was probably a little off. What I meant to say is: In order for a 10 mana 7/7 in and of itself to generate value you need another 4 mana worth of creatures to be put in play. This doesn´t even consider drawing additional cards or putting more minions in play. It's the minimum requirement.
Love it!
This is only the second card in the game that costs 10 mana (not counting Sea Giant and Thaddius)
Recombobulator nerf.
Pyroblast,Mind Control
This card is good for comeback.
Giant and control/joust warrior ?
