Clarifications
- In the case of a minion being played for a discounted cost, Effigy spawns a minion equal to the original cost of the minion. (Source)
Secret: When a friendly minion dies, summon a random minion with the same Cost.
Burning man, brah.

Opponent kills Sneed's Old Shredder, which drops Kel'Thuzad. Effigy pops and summons another Kel'Thuzad.
Just once, I want this to happen...
Oh it will. And it will happen to your opponent.
Trying to think whether this or Mirror Entity will be better in Tempo Mage. Mirror Entity has the downside of letting your opponent pick the minion you get (and if it's a Chow that can be bad), while this has the downside of making it hard to play cheap minions if you want value. I think I might play one of each, to keep 'em guessing.
2 of each
*Hunter kills a Sludge Belcher*
*Effigy spawns another one*
Oh this is too good.
I think it's actually getting a little daft now, the variety of mage secrets. Opposition has to play around pretty much everything... spell-casting? Yup. Then spells on the enemy? Yup. Killing an enemy? Yep, for two reasons now. Attacking face? Yup. Playing a minion? Yup.
It's not -fun-, is my point. It's a great card, no doubt about that, and I'd expect it to go into pretty much every standard Mage deck.
If secrets ever do become a huge problem Kezan Mystic will always be there for us.
Have you ever seen once the Hearthstone Statistics ?
Mage and Hunter are the top 2 classes that are in the meta - in which 2 of these classes really favored the use of Secret.
Therefore Kezan is effing good.
I have never lost a match before when I stole one of their Secret, it's an auto-concede (no joke).
i think no, like Unstable Portal ^^
I wonder how this works with giants (and other cost reductions/effects)? Does it just count the original card cost or the cost you play them? (e.g., Frost Giant at original 8 mana, or you played him at 5 mana?)
It's like Recombobulator, it uses the original cost.
Basically a free Molten Giant
I think this could work well in a mech mage deck also.
This is defiantly a good synergy card for Duplicate, obviously its more RNG Dependent then Duplicate but its more Immediate, you play this before your Big Minions go down, and rather than duplicating them you just make them into other big minions. AND It, in theory, triggers WITH duplicate, so you could, Turn 6 Duplicate, Effigy, then Turn 7 Dr Boom, and when Dr Value gets killed you get 2 more Dr Booms and a random 7 Drop.. perhaps a Pirate on a Parrot or a Barron Geddon, but hey it basicly 3 mana, for a Resurrect + Recombobulate Effect on said resurrected minion.
sorry if boom die you get a war golem, and if bombots die you get wisb, thats how RNG works
Boom Bots cost 1 mana.
WISB?! What kind of fiend is that?!
Not a bad idea but Dr.Boom wouldn't work with it since your opponent would just kill a boom bot first, and then you're just left crying.
Yeah but you get the main idea, maby not Dr. Boom, but like, with Rag... imagine your Rag dies and you get Tirion or a Force Tank, or any other number of insane 8 Drops..
I like the golden animation :)
