Powerful when Dragoncaster and Tortollan can cheat it out, the "targeting" being the word Enemy makes it great with the latter 8 mana freeze enemy get a 5/5 and 2 Water Elementals
but if you cant cheat it out, then yeah, it feels bad, can insta win you the game against DH most of the time
Compared to Power of Creation this card looks very week... you get 2 4-drops instead of 6-drops. So you pay 4 Mana to freez one enemy. Lol
I'd love a 10-mana freeze all minions plus summon the 2 Water Elementals.
Lich Queen Jaina has new toys to play with at least.
They said during the reveal stream that the first iteration of this card froze all (enemy?) minions, and it was one of the first balance changes they made. But I'd say that this is the kind of powerlevel that you need for an 8 mana spell. It needs to have a strong effect to be worth the investment.
Maybe it's still better than it looks, but it doesn't look that great.
Mana is too high, lower it.
Prediction, they'll do a round of nerfs like they did for the boomsday cards when they put in SN1P-SN4P and move this down to 6 or 7 mana, spells only mage will still see no play, and then in a set or two they'll put in something to make it busted and have to nerf it back to 8 mana.
Mage is literally getting a spell that makes spells in their deck 1 mana cheaper. At most you can make this a 6 mana spell. Less if you get lucky.
This definitely ain't it.
freezing a minion costs 0, and a water elemental costs 4. so you're basically paying all the money you have to pay.
of course you can save some space in the deck, since it condenses 3 cards into one, but even considering that, this card still really just sucks
Yea but combining card effects has value in itself. For instance nobody thought Sludge Belcher would see play because the logic was it's just a 1mana footman + a 4mana shieldmasta for 5mana... Yet it ended up being one of the most powerful and universally played taunt cards ever created. I think the idea behind this card is that it does good job of stalling incoming damage. Power Of Creation can be better BUT it can also be worse if your trying to stop damage and don't highroll a good taunt. I think this card is better than people are giving credit for. Especially since Mage is notorious for not paying full mana price on their spells.
yes combining card effects has value, but when the effects arent very good it doesnt make it good
sludge belcher is good because splitting a taunt body is better versus aggro or when you are behind in board
you dont want to summon 2 water elementals and freeze 1 enemy on turn 8
it wouldve been interisting if it was freeze all,but in this state its very underwhelming
Seems pretty great when discounted during the stream reveal.
Without discount the card's just overpriced though. I'm not impressed.
