Quote from BlizzardThe Wailing Caverns Mini-Set, launching worldwide on June 3, consists of 35 distinct cards that can all be obtained from Forged in the Barrens card packs! The entire 66-card set (4 Legendary cards, 1 Epic card (x2), 14 Rare cards (x2), and 16 Common cards (x2)) is also available for purchase from the in-game or web shops, for either $14.99 or 2000 Gold!
Spelunking Support
What’s a dungeon without Adventurers? Adventurers are 2-mana 2/2 minions, each with a special bonus effect. There are eight in total, and they can be found throughout the Wailing Caverns.
Advanced Synergies
Every class has leveled up from their time in the Barrens! Some classes gained additional Spell School support, while others gained a deeper connection to a minion type or mechanic!

Warlock and Warrior cards are insane. What are you clowns talking about.
Tour Guide >Stealler of Souls>Polkelt>Jaraxus and EZ her power>lets rock
Does Kresh' weapon have any effect?
Normally, that would be mentioned on the card that creates it.
Nope, just a plain 2 attack, 5 durability weapon. Can obv be buffed with things though.
Thanks xskarma!
I think there's real potential to see some of these in play for literally every class, including some neutrals too. Worth the 2k gold imo.
Stealer of Souls is busted. 6 mana play a random card from you deck? or play it turn 4 then turn 5 have two chances to rip a big Dragon or something. I can see this one getting nerfed.
I guess there is a potential draw back that its stays active too long and you have a bunch of dead cards in hand you can't play without dying.
I could be wrong, but I don't remember any of the previous "spend health instead of mana" cards getting nerfed -- or even seeing a lot of play, for that matter.
Bloodbloom was nerfed to 4 mana from 2 as it enabled some very broken things. This one is probably even worse because Polkelt exists and the effect is repeatable.
It might be good in wild, but won't see any play in standard beside meme decks.
Oh, so Bloodbloom was nerfed for Wild. No wonder I didn't remember.
I don't think Wild problems are ever going to have much immediate bearing on new cards they print for Standard.
Gotta say, this one's pretty underwhelming. Maybe they're afraid of making another Darkmoon Mini Set? Was that one powerful? I don't remember anymore.
Shaman got some nice toys, but Perpetual Flame is really deceptive imo. Seems like a great anti aggro card, but will Overload you for each recast (confirmed by Celestelon on Twitter) so you might end up fully Overloaded after your opponent redevelops and just have to take it for a turn, which seems counterintuitive. The other cards slap though.
Hunter didn't get any cards in the mini set, weirdly enough. And by that I mean, it did, but they're nothing. The lil snake card is adorable and I'm crafting Goldens of it, but it's bad, the Frenzy card is bad, and the weapon is atrocious. While a poison weapon would have fit nowhere else, Hunter has no healing, and the weapon only has 2 charges, most threats Hunter would be willing to sacrifice that level of tempo to kill are probably massive, and Hunter would be thoroughly punished for doing that with no way to recover health.
Maybe I'm missing something, but this one's not what I was hoping for.
Against All Odds really says ALL minions with odd attack? That can totally change the game
I am assuming its only on the battlefield if that's what your referencing, not hands and decks but I could be wrong.
Normally, "minion" means "on the battlefield" unless it says something like "in your hand, deck and battlefield."
But when they put ALL in all caps like that, it's possible they mean something glorious and terrible.
ALL minions with odd attack on the board, obviously.
Nah, it’s just on the board. There’s a few other cards with ALL in all caps for some reason, like Wild Pyromancer. Most of them are from the classic set, likely to make sure players knew they were hitting their own minions too. They moved away from it for a while, but maybe a designer liked it that way. Who knows
I'll try Stealer of soul + plot twist + Reno + Mechathun + cataclysm.
Btw perpetual flame is one of the strongest card in this set imo.
Put in Violet Illusionist and Mal'Ganis and you can play your whole deck for free without the need of Reno.
