This has that slight fan-made stank that makes it feel like they didn't put much thought into the name, balance, design or even the card art. Not to shit on custom cards, it's just a littke janky.
Summon minions in the end of EVERY turn.
Very good card to get out RNG effects like Astromancer / Spiteful Summoner at the very least.
Astromancer can't summon 10-drops. At most 9.
Astromancer can summon a 10 drop. It's just very difficult to do.
Good catch DittoLander. Always learning something new.
Bad example but the argument is still valid.
Lol why did I get downvoted? Do people not know how to summon a 10 drop with Astromancer?
Is there a way to summon 10-drops with Astromancer? Not being rude, actually curious. Thanks.
Well, it's understandable, that people who started playing HS just recently wouldn't know about all game mechanics.
Short answer: Illidan Stormrage.
Long answer: Have Illidan Stormrage, Knife Juggler and Loot Hoarder on your side, Explosive Sheep on your opponent's side, play Astromancer with 9 cards in hand, Illidan Stormrage summons Flame of Azzinoth, Knife Juggler hits Explosive Sheep, it kills Loot Hoarder, and viola! Now you have 10 cards in hand and Astromancer summons a 10 drop.
I wouldnt play this even if it were 7 mana
With all the 6-drop generators they've revealed there's got to be a legendary coming with a payoff.
"For every 6-cost minion you control draw a card"
... Cast a fireball (targets chosen randomly)
>You get an archmage, and you get an archmage, everybody gets an archmage!!!
>Lotta Archmages nowadays
>Good lord, now anyone can be an Archmage *sigh*
Let me humbly remind all of you that this expansion is about DALARAN, the city of Kirin'Thor, the most powerfull mages guild in Azeroth.
Worgen-a have fun with this thing.
I'm about to summon a lot of hate my way
but I love how everyone is looking at this like it's only a 10 mana 6/6.
It doesn't aggro, it doesn't combo. Must be bad.
I mean it's not like Damaged Stegotron or Sunwalker exist
Hogger
Illidan Stormrage
Cairne Bloodhoof
Savannah Highmane
Though at the same time, it could always land on The Beast or Meteorologist. 10 mana 6/6 must-remove-target + 3/3 is about the worst you'll get out of it :/
Could always cheat it out with Eureka! or something
Flobbidinous Floop
Muckmorpher
Am I missing something here that the hearthpwn community seems to all agree on that's making this "completely unplayable"?
Honestly, there's only 2 3/4s and 2 3/3s in post-rotation Standard, disregarding the new set. That's not bad chances, and the other results are all decent stats at least. Even The Beast isn't THAT terrible, it's all-in-all still a 12/10 in raw stats if you subtract Finkle. On average you'll probably get relatively fair stats out of it for a 10 mana card that sometimes has a pretty solid upside too.
Nothing INSANE and probably nothing you'd usually play, but definitely not a bad 10 mana minion to get from a random summon effect like Heavy Metal! and similar stuff (granted most of that is in Wild now, but the pool for both good and bad cards is way bigger so it should still be a decent discover there).
Not really, it's just that for a 10 mana card it is imperative that it has an immediate effect. If you don't roll Damaged Stegotron or Sunwalker or some other taunt you're just putting a bunch of stats on the board on turn 10 which is demonstrably not good enough.
In most cases it will give you an immediate impact to the board in the form of a lot of stats. The only cards that may be more impactful are the omega cards but that varies by class. We also have to look at this from the perspective of being played after rotation. In that case there are a lot of high impact cards leaving the game.
I'm not saying it's OP or broken but it's a solid 10 drop and with so many power cards leaving in rotation it's hard to evaluate fully ATM.
Good lord, now anyone can be an Archmage *sigh*
Funny thing is the only archmage not worthy of the archmage title is the original Archmage card itself.
For the Big Priest that's feelin' lucky.
blood of cairne, sunwalker,Hogger, seems good value POGGERS
