mechatun hunter?
Would not work. Mech'thun would still be alive so it's triggered deathrattle wouldn't do anything
Who doesn't know that?
Obviously people are talking about 6 mana, summon Mecha'thun. The remaining 4 mana is available to kill it.
The hunter legendary seems alright. If they add some good deathrattle mechs it could see some play but if not it's just gonna be trash. The only good mechs right now that it could work with are Mechanical Whelp and Spider Bomb which are just not enough. As for the priest spell it seems kinda underwhelming. Why would I ever play ther over something that can just kill stuff?
Time to dust off Sneed's Old Shredder?
This is why Hunter Mark got nerfed :'D
Houndmaster Shaw + this Hunter Legendary + Mechanical Whelp in hand
If your enemy has (likely) something on board... Profit!
With that 1 mana left you cast Play Dead
Why are people bringing up Mecha'Thun? It won't work with Mecha'Thun unless hunter gets a 4 mana 'kill everything on your side of the field'.
Dead card, should've been paladin or warrior and even then, do you want egg synergy? All Hunter has when it comes to mech deathrattle synergy are bombs and the neutral whelp.
Isn't this just good with mechathun for stat value? its a 10/10 on 6, plus the 3/4
You're only going to get the 10/10 on turn 6 if your 3/4 dies. Are you planning to play it into opponent's Snipe secret?
absolutely a great idea!
I choose to believe your theory. You’re right, Zilliax turned against Dr Boom too. And if Oblivitron was hijacked, I’d like to think it Flark that stole it.
Okay so it summons a Mech from your hand. That's good. But only when it dies. And Hunter Deathrattle trigger cards are rotating out. And you're playing a 6 mana 3/4. I mean...Coffin Crasher is at least a decent enough 6/5 for 6 mana and you can have two of them in your deck. I almost feel like this should have Rush.
A 6 mana 3/4 with a Deathrattle screams to get silenced and the Mech it draws from your hand will be random. Do you really want this thing to pull Zilliax from your hand on your opponent's turn? I mean, sure it has synergy with Mechanical Whelp, but what other big Mech Deathrattle is out there that's worth it? (Mecha'thun won't work because it doesn't die).
Yes it does since you cast Goblin Prank on it.
I guess Oblivitron hints at more big mechs with deathrattle coming sooner or later. And ideally, they have taunt too. I mean, the cost + statline + delay + randomness just makes no sense whatsoever with the cards currently in standard. And even in Wild, Sneed's Old Shredder is just about the only card that's worth this kind of build-around. There are a couple mechs with deathrattles, but playing a 6 mana 3/4 with an effect, that MIGHT impact the game one turn later is so damn slow, it might as well be a rare instead of a legendary. So, I wouldn't rate the card just yet, but suffice it to say there needs to be substantial support for this to shine.
Lazu'ls Scheme is just alright, not much else to say. I have no clue what Priest is even supposed to play post rotation, but Cabal Shadow Priest is always worth checking out.
Lol all these people who don't understand how Mecha'thun works
So something I noticed about Oblivitron is, (Correct me if I’m wrong) it says “Summon a mech from your hand AND trigger it’s deathrattle.” Which a lot of people are commenting cards like Whelp and spider bomb which is definitely cool but based on the wording it seems like you can summon a mech that doesn’t necessarily have a deathrattle like Damaged Stegotron or Zilliax.
all in all it still seems like a slow control tool for hunter, hopefully this set provides more support for a card like this.
This is a good shout, and might push deck building to avoid non-deathrattle mechs.
I'm sure the set provides some extra support, but to be honest I wouldn't be sad if there wasn't a another strong deathrattle oriented hunter deck for a while.
That is correct. It will summon a random mech from your hand, and if you are holding mechs without a deathrattle, they can be picked as well.
