It may not be that powerful but this card is so flexible it's nuts!
3/1 stays on board? Trade, get 3 1/1's!
3/1 gets popped? Leaves behind 3 1/1 mechs to either buff or slap other magnetic mechs on! Granted Defile exists.
Slapped the 3/1 onto something? Go face with it! Or, trade it with something big; if your thing dies, you still get 3 1/1's!
It's a lot of answers to a lot of situations and should definitely not be underestimated. This and the other new mech cards will create C'Thun-esque decks thanks to the new magnetic mechanic and I'm excited to see it happen.
Replicating Menace + Twilight's Call
Hrm. I think this has potential to be better than the "pack filler" comments I'm seeing a lot of. I guess it depends on how good magnetic works out to be in practice.
Play this on Zilliax, and that's a monstrous 6/3 Rush Divine Shield Lifesteal, with a deathrattle. Bring it back with Kangor's Endless Army. Coin this out onto an Upgradeable Framebot for a 4/6 who leaves 3/3 worth of stats when it dies. Seal of Champions was decent enough, and this kind of reminds me of that. It enables a small minion to trade-up, and still stats on the board. Another card this reminds me of: Fire Plume Phoenix, which is a reasonable card in elemental decks, and saw some play in Spiteful Summoner decks pre-nerf. Phoenix is a 4-mana card which does 2 damage and leaves 3/3 worth of stats on the board. Attach this to a mech and this does 3 damage for 4 mana and leaves 3/3, kinda. Phoenix is a better comparison, than Flanking Strike, IMHO, since this is harder to use than Flaking Strike.
Any minion-based mech deck seems like it could make reasonable use of a card like this. Not game-breaking, but decent use. Whether minion based strategies will exist at all in the a game with all the ridiculously powerful things Druids can do remains to be seen, but still...
In denial, that's nice.
Has potential in Token decks as a more expensive Haunted Creeper with an additional upside. We'' just have to wait and see.
pack filler, why are we commenting here when the mech c'thun just landed!
Why you not show the reveal video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJ_8G2i_DQQ
because is overcringe?
Love the fact that in that video the expansion is called Projecto Cabum! Sounds chic and a tad funnier than Boomsday! :P
Mech'thun is coming. Can't you hear it calling? The grinding gears, whispering in the dark?
No
If one attached this to a mech and it dies, will the combined bodies be resurrected by N'zoth or other Priest resurrect cards?
I believe it works like zombeasts (forming a completely new minion), so probably it comes back with resurrection.
Edit: I just watched the "magnetic" explanation video from Blizzard and found out that Magnetic works as a buff, so during resurrection the effect won't be applied again.
Nope. If that were the case the Paladin Legendary Spell would not specify that they keep their magnetic enhancements. That clearly indicates that other effects would not revive the minion with such effects.
It almost certainly works like buffs, so no, I don't imagine N'Zoth is gonna resurrect the combined bodies(and I imagine it's not gonna resurrect the Replicating Menace, since it technically didn't die).
This would surely find space in every aggro deck, but since it is even costed it won't..
Maybe we will see the rise of the even paladin again?
Why would it? I haven't seen Eggnapper in any aggro decks and it's just a better card that does the same thing.
So, if there is any Mech on board, Warlock can deal infinity damage with 3 cards combo in wild, thats balanced
how?
