Hearthstone Wild Packs Have Returned to the Shop
Wild sets have returned to the Hearthstone shop this afternoon, but only on the Battle.net website!
- Sets will be purchasable through the Battle.net website, not the in-game store.
- Only real life currency can be spent and not gold as the Battle.net website doesn't allow for gold purchases at this time.
These are the sets you can buy once again:
- Curse of Naxxramas [View our Guide]
- Goblins vs Gnomes [View our Guide]
- Blackrock Mountain [View our Guide]
- The Grand Tournament [View our Guide]
- The League of Explorers [View our Guide]
So if you want to pickup content any of these sets, and you can foot the bill, go go go!

- The Starter Pack Legendary follows the non-dupe rule too!
Excited? We are!
Blog Post
Quote from BlizzardIn our previous blog, we mentioned that we wanted to improve your card pack opening experience by removing the possibility of opening a duplicate Legendary until you own all Legendary cards of a given set. We also touched on the other card pack improvement of never being able to open more than two copies of a single card in a single pack. Both changes were slated to go live with the official launch of Knights of the Frozen Throne in August.
We have some good news! All card pack changes that were mentioned in this blog are NOW LIVE! We decided to have this feature go live as soon as possible so you could continue to flesh out your collection before Knights of the Frozen Throne goes live.

Share your craziest Wild experiences and Legendary card openings in the comments below!
I opened up 25 packs and got three legionaries, compared to when Un'Goro came out, I opened 88 and got two.
3 Classic packs - Gruul
2 Un Goro packs:
It works. LUL
From 6 packs I got 2 golden commons, 1 golden rare, 4 epics (1 of them golden) and 1 legendary. Even though cards are mostly shit, I've never been so lucky in terms of card rarity. This has to be rigged.
Wow open 23 packs from different expansion and get:
Sherazin, Corpse Flower golden
Hemet, Jungle Hunter
both in first pack opened.
Xaril, Poisoned Mind
Al'Akir the Windlord
White Eyes
And many others epics and golden epics,
:D
That is just insane, I started opening the 7 Classic Packs I had saved up and in the first pack I saw the golden glimmering frame, got Prophet Velen, which I was missing and thought 'my patience has paid off' :D Then I opened Grommash Hellscream too and was even happier. Went forward to open the Ungoro packs from my arena runs and unwrapped Awaken the Makers in my 7th pack. Looking at my excel sheet I realized, that I had been nowhere even near my pity timer for both sets, so I went here just to read in comments that for many ppl the 10 packs rule works even on old sets. So I bought 10 TOG packs for gold thinking 'Screw dat saved gold' and I got Deathwing, Dragonlord in my 6th pack. I bit my tongue, because I should have bought the packs 1 by 1, now my pity timer for that set is 4 again. At least I learned my lesson, found my patience again and bought a single MSG pack just to find Finja, the Flying Star in it.
On top of that I got a few good epics that I was missing too, that was definetly the best pack opening ever for me :D
Un'Goro 24 packs 1 golden and 2 normals legendary and a lot of golden epics
Classic 6 packs 1 legendary
I'm almost sure this not gonna happen. Why would they do that?
Like if you want to buy stuff for gold, no problem - buy new expansions. When they go to the wild section, they will be accessible only for real money. Actually, seems logical. The only thing I would change - price. Like cmon it's old stuff, it must be cheaper.
They need money to run their company and selling them in real money seems working well. And to Mashine, They need money so if they can sell them full price (and we still buy them), there is no reason to reduce the price.
I, for example, will buy old stuff only if the price will be reduced.
If you are able to dust them then there is no reason for lowered prices. Cheaper dust that you can use to craft any set.
So is the 'legendary in the first 10 packs' something for every set? For example, could I open 10 packs of WoTOG and 10 of MSoG and get legendaries? Or is it only for one set?
Yeah it worked for me too. But make sure to buy the packs 1 by 1, then you can stop when you get your Legendary. This way you won't spend too much of your saved gold for KFT.
Well, just bought the Starter Pack after this announcement. Got a second Grommash Hellscream. Great. EU.
The Starter Pack rule does not apply for those players who already have got all class legendaries.
About getting a "guaranteed" legendary within the first 10 packs from a set you open now, even if you had opened packs from that set before (so, contrary to what Blizz had said recently):
Ofc these are just a couple redditors' opinions but IMO they make sense. Please keep them in mind when telling your experience, and add all relevant details. Like, when reporting a failure, specify whether you had opened packs in the last couple weeks or not, and if you got any legendary from those packs.
Bullshits! 192 packs and only 11 legendaries. I have no duplicates, only that works. I didnt open packs a couples of weeks. Bugy Blizzard! Bullshits everywhere! F.ck Blizzard!
