Today it started freezing on me while playing on my phone as well. That's never happened to me before, but it shows that it's global bug in the code, not only for the desktop version of HS.
Agreed, sometimes I've lost 1 or 2 mercs after being sloppy or going for an elite encounter that I knew I should have avoided, but in general the only trash I've had problems with are the Heroic Winterspring ones.
With a nature team, Bru'kan and Guff can take out the Peon on turn 1 and then switch the attention to the garrison and the grunts on turn 2. With other teams, you usually need two turns to take out the Peon, but regardless, the Peon should always be first priority. After that, the garrison is defenseless and an easy picking.
The (green) orcs can hurt your casters, but for the aforementioned nature team Malfurion will take them out all the while healing the casters for each used nature ability. A holy team with only casters are a bit more vulnerable, but should still be able to outheal the enemies.
What is your standard team in Alterac? I used a nature team to take out all the Normal bosses and then it's not a problem. Even when switching to orcs and a holy team for Heroic bosses it worked fine.
Have Cookie summon three fishes, they have 15 health so it will take you two turns to destroy them, but there's a cooldown on Cookie's skill anyway, so on the second turn you can summon another fish by Cookie - rinse and repeat.
Just watch out when Cookie summons a Swordfish - that could break or delay the process depending on how high level the Swordfish (Cookie's skill) is.
I've got Vol'jin tasks both as a daily and via the stranger lately. Though, I'm at task 11 or 12 now, maybe the tasks will stop appearing once I reach 15.
No, Kazakus is a Kabal tri-class card which can only be included in Mage, Priest and Warlock decks. (Similar to how Aya Blackpaw can only be included in Druid, Rogue and Shaman decks.)
So, this is obviously a bug in the Hearthpwn deckbuilder as it can't be replicated in-game even if you have Kazakus.
Yeah, my initial plan was to clone Mukla's Champion, but the king used Obliterate on him before I got the chance, so I cloned my Kvaldir Raider instead, worked fine as well! :)
Actually, differents variants of this deck is my default fallback plan for HS PvE adventures. I used a variant of it to win with Warrior as well!

I maxed Vol'jin a month ago; I got his tasks both at the daily refresh and from the stranger, so for me at least the Vol'jin bug is fixed.

It works today. It seems to be an RNG bug, because it's been happening on and off for me for a week or two.

Still doesn't work for me, I can only make team changes when playing on my phone, not on computer - it just freezes every time I try to open a team.

Thanks, worked perfectly on the first try! Since Power Word: Shield doesn't draw a card anymore after the nerf, I exchanged those two for a Bloodmage Thalnos and a Loot Hoarder.
I only got one Knife Juggler when it was time though, so it was a bit tedious...

In light of recent events, here are my suggestions for new class cards that can go into the new PvE adventure Ashes of IRL:
Hunter: Contagious Bat, 1 mana 1-1 minion – Rush, Divine Shield, Poisonous, Windfury, Also damages the minions next to whomever it attacks.
Rogue: Conspiracy, 4 mana spell – All minions go dormant for three turns
Druid: Spreading Plague (change of card text) – for the rest of the game, all minions ignore taunt
Mage: Full Wuhan, 3 mana spell – Freeze all minions for 3 turns
Priest: Lockdown, 0 mana spell – Destroy all mana crystals
Paladin: Obedience, 1 mana spell – Give all minions status Can’t Attack
Warlock: Bill Gates, 6 mana 6-6 legendary minion – Battlecry and Deathrattle: Destroy your mana crystals
Warrior: Harmless Virus, 1 mana 0-9 weapon – Can’t play cards while this weapon is equipped
Shaman: Vaccination, 10 mana spell – When you’ve already lost the game, restore 1 health to each of your remaining minions.
Demon Hunter: Inevitable End, 1 mana 1-1 minion – Start of Game: If your deck has no duplicates, destroy the enemy hero

Thanks for a great deck! I made some modifications for a taunt/K'T combo to fit the cards I have:
